Well Hello David! Once again welcome, I think it's great when both "Partners" come here and show they want to work together.
Post whenever you feel like, read whenever you feel like, there are no special obligations here.
Have a great day:)

Well HI CHL,

I'm, "shakin it up here boss"
God I loved that movie...and as a kid had a major crush on Paul Newman...yowza.

Anyway CHL, welcome to the board and I have to tell you, you are one terrific guy for going the extra mile to join your wonderful W and all of us wild and crazy gals here on this board.

And CHL...keep your eyes on that guard with the shotgun LOL.

Welcome CHL! I'd add more but I am nursing a horrible cold and might contaminate the thread. I seem to be the last casualty in the family, so as long as the dog and cats don't catch it it should blow over in a couple more days.

BTW, is blackmail effective then? Because my H already clearly stated that I should not dream of his posting here (even though he does not seem to mind that I do).

Actually I don't remember that discussion.

I thought he had been discussing posting and I had sent him an email that it would mean a lot if he would post just once in a while to show an interest in where I am at now and meet my new friends.

Then we discussed starting this second thread which he was going to read on and possibly post too. Mentioned the questions I had and was either going to start this thread with them or post them on my own. So he said go ahead here and send him the link. And here we are.

So sometimes my memory isn't so great anymore.

We have always sort of become at least a bit involved in each others activities.

He has taught me lots about computers and I hope I have taught him a bit about horses. At least he no longer runs from them!!!

But I don't recall the blackmail.

I am glad he posted so you all got to welcome him and meet him just a bit.

He is a pretty neat guy and a TERRIFIC sense of humor.

Hey Opt,

Sorry you caught the bug.

Get well soon wishes going your way.

Well told my boss Friday before he left for Atlanta I hoped he had nice weather as it was supposed to be rotten here this weekend. He works part-time for a racing newspaper and shoots photos at several races a year. Now the race is under rain delay. Bummer as I was watching it and the Byte had decided to take a nap on top of me. At least we now have sunshine here. But I bet my boss gets home late.

Ok, ever since reading Opts post have been thinking. I do remember a conversation like that, during one of my afternoon spirals! I just didn't recall that he said at that time he would post. The post discussion I thought was days later after I discussed this being an interest and I would like for him to share a part of it and get to know you guys some.

So, yup his memory is better than mine! But I hope that isn't the only reason he posted as it isn't the reason I thought he had said he would probably post.

Since it is still rain delay I think the kids and I may see about it being popcorn time!!

Just had to drop in and say yeah he is right as ususal, even if that isn't why I thought he was here!

Hey CHL, welcome to the BB!

I'm a great fan of the movie too H and I usually watch it about every other month (gotta love DVD's!) although I'm not as good as quoting lines from it as H is .

I do hope you continue to read and post here. It would be great for you to start your own thread as well I, like SHiny, would find it more easier to post to you on such a thread.

I have developed a great fondness for Pam in my heart as well and that you have shown interest in this BB...well I find that to be beyond admirable Sometimes I wish that my H would pop on here once in awhile but I don't think that would ever happen...I think he views the BB as MY private space and haven.

I will say that H has said that DR book (which he has read) and BB have been instrumental in our "Sucess Story". They woke me up and brought about the changes in me that were necessary to allow H the time he needed.

Look forward to hearing more from you soon David

Hello CHL

I also vote for a new private thread for you!

I sensed a feeling of you posting here under duress...not the best motivation.

I guess I just don't want you to feel that you CAN'T post (on your own thread?) your real feelings and issues and such.

Based on other couples who have posted (and it IS quite rare) I can assure you that no one "plays sides"...the genuine interest here is to HELP...whatever that may entail.

Cheers!

Shiny

The scenes that have always stuck with me is the egg eating and the carwashing. It is a great movie, I think we watched it one of my classes in high school.

Welcome CHL,

LOL--can you eat 50 eggs? Too funny, my H and I were just talking about this movie not to long ago.

My H would never in a million years log on, join, want any part of something like this, so I commend you for taking the intiative.

Cathy

I can't eat 50, but I can eat 2. Close enough?

I haven't seen the movie in years. Sometimes though, it feels like it hits a little too close to home.
