I would do light above and dark below. If you do that, you could do the whole room (leave the ceiling light (like white) though to keep the room from getting too dark) not just one wall.

Start with one wall and see how you like it.

Accent wall should be the whatever one you want. You can pick the one that gets the most light, gets seen the most, or the least.

You don't think the idea of making the accent wall opposite would work? Huuuummmm. thinking. I love my brown couch and my brown recliner. Then I have accent pillows that have green and brown. So maybe a color with more green? I think the mocha would allow me to shake it up. Maybe the accent wall should be like a chocolate...

Maybe a really light green. I have a green dining room with a sage above and avacado below and then the dark color swirled/ragged on top. Just really into earthy tones right now and of course I could always make them pop with accent pieces.
