(((((BobbiJo))))) It was 66 in the house this morning. If the sun doesn't show up it will cool off some more, and I might need to heat it. It's gotten to as low as 64 inside this winter, I think.
I love the lightning and thunder! That's what we have monsoon season for! There are great storms, but for some reason they down make tornadoes. I'm not sure I really understand that, but I am not complaining! We do get a little hail now and then, though.
It's not looking good for golf this weekend. S12 is supposed to have a soccer game tomorrow, I'm a bit dubious.
(((((mishka))))) You snuck in there! I don't think much of earthquakes. I was in a hotel in Japan during a real minor one, it was still pretty disconcerting. Also felt one in South Carolina, of all places!
There are actually some major fault lines in the Southeastern US. One of the biggest in the country (actually bigger than the San Andreas) runs through Kentucky and Tennessee.
I have been through so many earthquakes that unless they were over 4.5 I didn't feel them. I survived the 6.9 Northridge quake in '94....that was seriously ugly, but the others were just fun rock-n-roll times!

We had tornado warnings here over the weekend. Yuck. Luckily, nothing really materialized.
I also, by far, prefer earthquakes. I've been through a few, although since I'm down in the valley and not in the Bay Area they usually aren't right under me.

Let's see, I have been through a few tornados including the '66 tornado which was an F-5, the '72 earthquake in LA, midwest flooding in '93, Hurriacane Hugo in '89. Numerous blizzards and ice storms. So that leaves sunamis and fires oh and volcanos erupting. I think I have seen enough.
The earthquake was kind of cool because even though it broke a lot of dishes it closed up the crack in my parents bedroom! Weird stuff.

Forgot about our time in SoCal/Pasadena area. In winter 2004/spring 2005 we got to experience torrential rains, flooding, and landslides. Glendale lost a lot of homes that year. Still crazy to me that driving on the freeway you see these homes clinging to the edge of the hillsides--who would build there?? Then spring came and we got wildfires! California has a little of everything...
Well, I do like the thunder and lightning! I don't have any use for a tornado, though. I have been lucky that way. There was a significant one that destroyed some "real" houses about five miles from ours in Alabama in '95, that was close enough!
Earthquakes are just creepy! Stuff moves that shouldn't move!
(((((BobbiJo))))) I hope your down-ness didn't last too long! If you need to call, just do it, ok?
