Okay I was temping at BB, went to work for WN. BB called back, offered me a corporate admin position (just cuz I was damned good at my job)...so I accepted that one. Then BB called me back and told me the chick who was on maternity leave was not returning, and asked if I want my temp/old position back. I said hell yes!!!!!
I haven't actually left WN yet, will probably be giving notice tomorrow, but since I was hired through an agency and both firms use the agency, there are a few kinks to work out.

I think I have paid my dues. Glad things seemed to have turned around here!!!

Well, I have given my notice. And everyone took it well.
I texted SG last night to let him know I would have to postpone the March trip. He called me back immediately, laughing and asking why. I explained the situation, and he was fine with it. Now, that is not to say he still doesn't want the D, he wants to know if HE can finalize it. I told him I wasn't sure, but he was going to check w/ an attorney friend. Fine. Dandy.
But then he tells me the biggest line of bullsh!t I have ever heard. He says that he has been on several job interviews and they have done background checks, and questioned his marital status. They are questioning why he is still married. I don't get that. I mean, yes a divorce action is filed. Yes we have been separated for two plus years.
Does this sound right to anyone? I have never had a job interview where my marital status was questioned. Is this just strange to me, or does anyone else smell something stinky?

My sis is a labor attorney and she has said before that age and issues like "are you pregnant/do you plan to get pregnant" are illegal questions to ask, and I would think marital status is another off-limits question. Unless of course he is trying to be a spy or work for the government!
No he said it was an economics position. He has an MBA he has never used, probably because I did half his homework for it. Regardless, the other job was just a local police department so I cannot imagine that they would be asking him those questions.
Makes me kind of wonder what the hell kind of crap he is up to now.

Lola, you are a freakin' mega-rockstar, baby. I can tell. I'm also a rockstar. In my spare time, I dabble in parenting. hahaha The 'interview' questions are likely coming from potential females, not employers. ***BS ALERT*** Keep working it, sugar. I have news on my housing sitch. Come over for a little visit when you have time. love, Goldey p.s. Or it could be what Mish says.

You know, I never thought it could be that immigration is now questioning. As Arsenio Hall used to say....things that make you go hmmmmmm.....
I have a stinking suspicion, though, that he will not finalize. He will wait for me to do it.
