I saw you mentioned MF (er's), and thought I was being talked about! LoL
I just read through your sitch. I live in a neighborhood w/physicians and surgeons, and their wives are my best friends. Their kids are my kids best friends. (My H owns a trucking company, and I automate research labs in pharma companies, universities, etc...)
I've been through a few separations and divorces w/this group, as we're all in the late 30's/early 40's age bracket. Every single one of them have a background that almost mirrors your nine years of marriage, BEGINNING w/the physician/surgeon burying their head in the study/work, and (for lack of a better term) alienating their family. The ones I have been closest to have the physician/surgeon having the affair, and not the wives.
So, you may be a great catch, but you're unique in your values.
Hold onto those. Put those boys first. You can't get these years back. I live in my dream house, have lived a dream life, and none of it matters as much as rebuilding this marriage of mine. It just doesn't matter.
PS - I just had a cardiac ablation two weeks ago!

After many years w/my head in the sand... I FILED Divorced 6/2011
The average woman would rather have beauty than brains, because the average man can see better than he can think.
I question whether the divorce rate really is higher with doctors. My cousin was of the opinion that construction workers have a high divorce rate.
One thing I have heard is that doctors tend to get seasick easier. Apparently the reason is that when the boat starts rocking they tend to self analyze themselves a bit more (knowing that it is all inner ear related), which only exasperates the problem. It is better to just ignore it and get busy doing something else. By the way, when someone is seasick, telling them "it is all in your head" is the last thing they want to hear even though it is true.
Are you saying that I was telling W it was all in her head? I have been telling her that I think she is not herself.. good one eh?
Were you speaking literally or figuratively about the seasickness-- meaning Doctors are quicker to get seasick and want to get off the boat sooner than most?
Ok so my GAL things of today.. Went to bowling alley because I have always wanted to join a league (no spots-- sadness)
Went to hobby store because I built an amazing model airplane with gas motors, servos all that, when I was a kid and it got eaten by a dog before i ever got to fly it... unfinished business and want to get back into that.
going to dinner at another person's house so I don't stare at walls tonight.
All in all a better day, I suppose...
Thinking of taking up a martial art too. Cracking boards with hands probably not best choice though...
Cracking boards with your hands is proabably better than your feet.
Besides chipping, do you practice a lot of putting? I will admit, chipping is a weak part for me and I need to spend more time fine tuning it. It is something I know I should be practicing in my house on the carpet besides the practice greens.
