My other thread is over 100 posts so I figured I could let it go to the archives.

Its a new year I have been at this now for 7 months and I am convinced the W is in MLC. That answers the title of my last thread. She seems to be getting more serious about the Big D, maybe, kind of, sort of(typical MLC behavior). I decided today that I should contact the lawyer I want to use. Just in case she calls him since she is going though the phone book/internet looking. Of course she told me at the end of Oct for my anniversary that she had a lawyer but I guess that didn't work out since there has been NC with anyone since. At her last IC she was looking for validation from the C to get a divorce. Over the holiday my S22 was in and she told him that she was going to D, and he asked her what was she waiting for? No answer. Also I know that her toxic parents were away on a cruise. They are back. So I am sure they are validating her wishes. Time will tell. I need to follow my own advice and not fear this. So far I am OK but we will see.

My W and I are basically NC still in the same bed. Now that my son has left and W has gone back to school/work we will see what the new normal is. Did I add in that she told S22 that she might lose her job because she has been warned twice and only has one more chance. (whatever that means)

Add into my sich that my 84 year old father is dying from an unknown disease and my 78 year old mother has gone off her bipolar meds. She is running around changing banks because the bank messed up her money??? Well tomorrow if she doesn't go for her kidney dialysis they will Baker Act her into a mental hospital. Might be a good thing.

Just a normal day around the neighborhood.

Everyone else have a good day!

Wow, OP, you have a lot on your plate! My FIL is bipolar and we have seen the disasters he creates when he goes off his meds. You sound like you are handling everything well.

Thanks trusting,

Just to let you know Bipolar is somewhat genetic. Your FIL is your H father? Also you need to be concerned with your children. My D23 went to college and quit because of Bipolar. Although she is a success story at this point because we got her into a program that got her meds and IC. She graduated college and is the manager of a Target store right out of college. Hopefully she stays on her meds, so far so good.

Hell Pilot,

That's alot...

I am truely sorry about your Dad, and Mom.

And if you don't mind me asking...WTF is your son saying, "What is she waiting for?" That doesn't really strike me as a child who is surprised by the announcement. See what I mean?

Pilot, what do you do, are you doing to get your mind off all this crap happening? What do you do for Pilot time? BESIDES watch Men of a Certain Age. : )

Not sure that it was an announcement. My children aren't stupid. He knows that she has been threatening for a while. He can see her depression and he doesn't know what to do.

What do you do for Pilot time?
Actually I am pretty busy. I have my own business, plus a second job. This weekend I am going to officiate a USS swim meet. Been doing this quite a bit more since it gets me out of the house and around adults and children. Plus they usually feed us pretty well. Once in a while I will try to get some sleep.

My Jets are in the playoffs this weekend, also. I am a big sports fan and could stay occupied with that 24/7.

You know I am pretty much at peace with everything that is happening. My mother goes off her meds like the sun comes up every morning. It doesn't bother me anymore. My father that is a little tougher but his W(not my mother) is in charge of him so not much that I can do.

Actually I find there is not enough hours in the day to finish everything I need to do. But that is life.

No these were obligations when my kids did them. But I had fun doing it so now it is just fun. My son did boy scouts. Was an eagle scout, three palms. I didn't want to keep doing that. That was an obligation So I quit.

OP,

Initially when my H started in with the MLC anger/replay crap he was acting so manic that bipolar was my first thought since I know it tends to be genetic. But his emotional issues run deep (which I am now realizing) and so I tend to think that bipolar is not the issue, especially since in the almost 20 years I have known him now I have never seen any other indications of it, but I am not sure when it tends to pop up agewise. He is acting relatively normal (for MLC) now, though I know bipolar also can cycle, so who knows.

I will just wait and see and will definitely be watching the kids as they get older. At what age was your daughter diagnosed?

At 20 however she quit college at 19 and were have issues with her throughout her teens. Bipolar can be diagnosed at any age I believe. My secretary's DIL is undiagnosed bipolar(32), we believe her mother is also undiagnosed(60).

Hey Pilot,

You are dealing with alot. When it rains, it pours. I'm sorry it's all going on at once.

I don't believe I've ever had a social director...and I'm sure not one by nature. I'm an introvert and tend to have fun on my own, but I have been very diligent about getting out with others and it has helped so much.

Even my solo things aren't really solo I guess b/c my dog is usually with me.

Like Jack, I like to kill Zombies for fun and I am perfectly miserable at Rock Band, but what a blast I have <wicked laugh>.
