I'm seeing the blizzard mess and dreading work tomorrow. I'll be on the phone with irate clients all day who think I have a direct line to God to fix the weather problems at every airport in the country.

We had an awesome time, Dan got us a motel room so we spend the night. The hotel was attached to the convention center, sweet! Stayed there till 12:30 and took an hour to get home.

AAARGH! False alarm...

Got all the way to Council Bluffs to find out the attorney didn't come to work today. To be fair, we were in a blizzard warning until 4:00 pm and are now in a weather advisory. Wind chills at -20*F tonight. They say if you are outside for 15 minutes you can have permanent damage to exposed skin...

So have to reschedule. Meanwhile Dan called me while I was supposed to be at the atty and I was shopping (can't waste a babysitter!!)...


He wanted to talk about a couple of settlement/divorce-related things and thought I was at the atty office...I told him what happened but in hindsight maybe I should have bluffed??

Anyway he wants to call later and talk about a couple things. I imagine it is stuff we haven't covered like life insurance beneficiaries, and who claims the kids on taxes, that type of thing. I was just going to go with whatever my atty suggested today for that stuff...

Oh, got another email from MC today. (Maybe I should change that, looks like Marriage Counselor instead of MatchCandy). OK I will call him Artist.

Apparently he does some animation for Atom films along the line of Star Wars stuff, and goes to some of the big comic book conventions for his work with graphic novels. He hopes to get on with some major animation studios at some point, I hope he can cause I am sure that would be awesome!! Anyway he suggested we get together for wings sometime since we both mentioned liking them...so I think we will be meeting up soon.

OK gotta go. Going to make a gingerbread house with the kids tonight, hoping for a third snow/wind chill day tomorrow!

My mom has been at the hospital for hours. I can't go, I have the kids.

She said last Thurs she had H1N1. Then over the weekend she went to ER, has pneumonia, dehydrated, and already has COPD...not good combo.

Today when I talked to her she sounded like she was choking the entire time...

Went back to hospital tonight with chest pains and feeling faint. They suspect a blood clot in her lung....

Worried....
