My WAW is having the 3 kids for a few hours XMas Eve then me & the kids are off to my parents to spend XMas with my family, They have all been so supportive these last 5 months - kids & family.
Told WAW I didn't want to be the one to wake up lonely on XMas morning, and even though my heart bleeds for her inability to see her way thru the fog at the moment, she has to live with the choice she made until she can.

I decided that this year I am making the holidays great. No ifs, ands or buts about it.
I am hosting Christmas Eve for my family. Christmas Day I am going to my step dads parents house for a bit and Christmas Day night I am having a few friends over for cocktails and board games.
Last Christmas my sister hosted Christmas Eve and I was an utter basket case the entire night (it was the first Christmas post bomb). For some reason I decided it was best to stay home all day alone on Christmas Day last year despite having three invitations to attend gatherings. I did volunteer for a bit in the morning but I spent the day alone feeling sorry for myself. What an idiot I was!
Nope, this year will be different and it will be GREAT because that is what I decided, lol!
I have been invited to two parties for New Year's or may just have people at my house. And that will be great as well.
So, everybody, decide that no matter what the circumstances are things will be GREAT because you decided that is how they will be!
Christmas eve, W will take our sons to her mom's house during the day. That night I'll take them to one of my uncle's house to celebrate with my family then to midnight mass.
Christmas day, W is coming over in the morning as the kids will open their presents and then my parents will come over to spend the afternoon. Christmas day night I'll go to a neighbor's for some wine and fun.
