Went to party - mostly people I knew. Didn't drink although I got quized about by one person.

Had a good convo with another divd person about the dating thing. Said I wasn't in a big hurry about it. She said dating was strange for her with children. Good insight into my own sitch.

Ughh...The Dog is tired today. Don't want to do anything.

The Black Dog is here again. Slept a bunch today. Activity earlier today but wasn't really there.

Hi Odog. Sorry your having a rough day. Ill bet that the gloomy weather up there isnt helping... but hey dividends will be here in a few days (or tomorrow, is it?), are you going to be able to do anything nice for yourself? Spending money always makes me feel good!

Wish I could say I was looking forward to Dividend Day but remember that Chapter 13 mentioned in earlier threads? The State pays it directly to the Fed. Bankruptcy Trustee. I only get to pay the taxes on it.

But that's part of the deal so I can't complain about it. It was a better deal than losing the house to creditors.

I'm planning a vacation in March to the big island. I have enough $ to do it on the cheap. Probably camping part of the time and stuff. Just me and my bike (the one with pedals).

Lame! Well, my dividend is going to float me through the rest of the year, so I dont get to do anything fun with mine either. And your right, you do get to look forward keeping your home. Thats more important!

Today and yesterday were better. Too busy to ruminate about things.

Actually in the end the Ch 13 just protected my investment in the home. The She lives there now. In exchange, O'dog got retirement funds to equal to the equity amount. I rent a cute house downtown. I'll try to buy again later. But that's just details.

Big group of triathletes from this state going to an event in Hawaii in March. I plan to stay a little longer and explore.

Didn't your mother ever tell you not to bother the dog while he's eating or sleeping?

Last night the She took the kids to a game and brought them back late in the evening. The youngest was over-tired and threw a fit about wanting to stay with mama.

The She called up this morning. "The kids just don't like staying at your house. Youngest is afraid to go downstairs to watch TV because he thinks it's too dark. (Too bad because I've got a big tv, nice leather couch, Tri bike on rollers, Strat w/ little tube amp...all the things a man needs.) "The kids aren't comfortable there. You need to address that. " She went on to mention maybe they need a TV upstairs, deluxe cable package and other stuff.

"Oldest is concerned about school choice next year and is not sure whether to attend place two blocks away from you or the one on the other side of town."

hmm...

O'dog is doing the best he can. We watch movies together on the couch. We do activities together. I feed them well. They've got a dog to play with (and a real one too)...

I'm at a slight disadvantage considering the youngest has lived in the other house since he was two weeks old. Yes, that place is going to feel a little more like home.

I understand her concern for the kids but I feel like she's trying to run a two-household family and call the shots.

Boundaries. Leave the dog alone.

None of her business.

Offer from someone to set up the O'dog with one of those 'just happen to be at the same place' things.

Might give it a try.
