WOW!

Up before noon.

Ok, I couldn't resist the pick. But on the other hand you don't harrass me about crashing so ealy at night!

I hope you have a great day today and get in to see the doc soon.

No, I don't think it is goofy to be excited. I think it is neat you get the opportunity to do something you are obviously getting a lot of enjoyment out of!!!!

Good Evening Shiny,

I rescued you in case you had had your evening wine before you post and couldn't find yourself very well.

BTW: Wait till you see totite's thread from today.

Better get the guest glassware out and shined up!!

Hi Shiny - just stopped by to say I read your thread every day but usually save my posting time for those who seem to need it more.

Hi Everyone!!!

Yeah, Ellie, I do the same thing a lot of times! I guess I'll take that as a compliment!

Another killer day at school/work...more missing exams, panicked students...didn't get home until FIVE today!!

Talked to my niece about her recent breakup...apparently her bf kissed a girl at a bar..."friends" are saying it was more...had a FEW things to share with her!!

It's already 1:00, so not sure how far I'll get on other's threads...best start now.

Evening Shiny

Wanted to offer my well wishes too on the competition thing !

Sounds like you had a busy day...sorry to hear about your niece's bf problems. The advice you give her now can be hopefully something she holds onto though Could make for better R's for her in the future !

Nice to see that I'm not the only LATE,LATE NIGHT OWL on here

You don't by any chance have some suggestions for achieving longer sleep periods do you?? You always have wonderful suggestions for so many other things I thought maybe you could help me here

I always have major problems sleeping when H is away...this was a problem even before the R sitch came in to play. Of course, the sitch has pretty much compounded things and my already screwy sleep habits are worse. That is why you might notice weird post times on my posts.

I'll doze off for a couple of hours and the next thing I know I'm wide awake...usually get on the comp then so I don't wake H up (quieter then TV)...couple hours on comp then back to sleep for a couple of hours, then I'm up for the rest of the day until about 4-6 am. I've been cycling like this for weeks now

My meds help me get those first couple hours of sleep. I drink herbal teas like chamomile or lemon balm for their calming effects. I stopped drinking soda and limit my coffee to 2 cups a day (usually).

I've asked myself if my brain is on hyperdrive at some level but it doesn't seem to be. This song that is on TV all the time does keep repeating itself over and over again though and is starting to drive me nuts...all my brain keeps processing is Shake me I rattle, squeeze me I cry... Subliminal messages maybe???

I am wide-open to suggestions...sleep deprivation is the only known trigger I have for my E...I prefer H not have to worry while he is gone that I will have a seizure. I can't not tell him about them...it is impossible for me to hide them since they affect my speech.

Thanks in advance
Zoo

Hi Shiny,

I hope your day is smoother today. No more missing exams and no panicked students!

Have you got all the makeup decided on and finished your trial runs and timing experiments?

LL!! I keep up with your thread every day...I guess I just haven't felt I had much to offer (since the "I TOLD you so" about the rings that is! )

What's been happening this week is that I am SOOO exhausted with work that I barely make it through PAM's thread before I have to sign off.

No actually, I HAVE been doing more reading than posting.

Now Zoo, that sleep cycle is even more whacked than MINE!

So is it more of a problem STAYING asleep vs getting to sleep? And of course the KEY question is...is your sleep cycle distressing to you?

That's the defining question as to whether it's a sleep disorder or just an individual thang.

I, myself, never have trouble getting back to sleep once woken up (and I'm a light sleeper). Just this morning for example: had to get up to call for a Dr. app't. Ran around finding the number, left two messages, got all irritated, took the call back....and went back to sleep for another 2 hours!

(YES I finally get in to see my REAL doctor today!)

What is going on in your mind when you wake and can't fall back to sleep? Have you tried deep breathing, relaxation training, meditation, anything of that ilk?

As for getting on the computer...Weeelll, I know for myself that I can be dog-tired, come in here to "just shut it off" and get sucked back in for HOURS. I think if your goal is to quickly get back to sleep mode, the computer is just too engaging.

How about a boring book? The T.V. turned low?

Okay gotta go throw some make-up on. (No it's not for the doctor, we have to go shopping and I have a meeting later!)

See you all later.

Shiny
