You know, my H was stuck on it all being my daughter's fault.

Of course, there was also that chick he was banging...

Interesting timing about him driving behind you!

Hopefully he saw you and that'll peak his curiosity lol.

It's funny how we get opportunities to show off our new selves to the walk-aways lol.

On the housing:

Check on here for a volunteer lawyer visitng your county: http://www.courts.state.ny.us/courts/nyc/housing/vlpselfrep.shtml

Also look into the Legal Aid Society. And call up some attorneys from the phone book - most attorneys out here do free consultations. If you can get in to talk to someone, they can see about representing you on a contingency fee - meaning they get paid a % if you win some $$. It'll depend on whether you have a good shot at winning whether they'll do that of course.

Check with a local law school - they have students who work in clincs under a supervising attorney who can help you!

Also ask about lawyers looking to do pro bono (meaning free!).

Ok Michelle, i need you to come out here at once and be my personal assistant. You are on the ball! Thanks for the tips.
Well BF wouldn't really see me being new. I was taking D to the airport so there was a suitcase in the car, sure he could see that. Both dogs with me. {Not the new thing he needed to see.} I have wanted a german shepherd for nearly 20 yrs, and soon after bf left I got her. He knows the fluffy dog, she was lying down tho. And the GSD has those antennae ears and I'm sure he couldn't have missed them cuz she was sitting up. He's probably thinking WTF? Car is not clean. Brake light STILL out. Another pet. I only slept a couple hours and rushed around to get my kid ready to go so I can't say I was looking my best. He couldn't have really seen me very well tho, with the giant puppy in the back. Well he doesn't hate dogs, doesn't love them, but it's cats that give him the eeby geebies. I had my current dog and an old Rottweiler when I met him, so a 2nd dog shouldn't freak him out too much. STOP that train of logic.... I also had 2 cats when I met him. Anyway I don't think this helped except that it would put me in his thoughts and he might wonder about the suitcase.
No Lola. No affair. I've been through that and the scars have left me very sensitive, I could spot that a million miles away now. Absolutely not the situation at all. I know he's a man. But he is unusual and highly principled. He is almost like a woman when it comes to that stuff. Honestly he wouldn't be able to be in our bed together if he left ow. And I know he was working his arse off and always coming home dirty and tired. Not the way he'd look if he'd met someone. I'm positive that it's not the case.
Left work early to see 3 apts., but agent cancelled at the last minute. I may have to take a vacation from work to get this all done.
I'm good. My girly is gone and I miss her, but it's nice and quiet which I like too. My house feels like an oven. It's just awful. If I turn on ca the house will become contaminated with mold. If I buy fans, it's more stuff to get rid of when I move. I'm suffering. That dang kid baked in here all day the other day. Can you imagine. It's nearly 100 out and she had the oven on at 375 all afternoon. Now I can't get the heat out. If it weren't for the mosquitos, I'd sleep in the back yard. It's that miserably hot. Horrible. I think i'll sleep in D's room tonight, she's on the lower floor and it's a bit cooler down there.

Sent Mark a text that he has mail here and the stuff downstairs. I thought he'd suggest coming Sat cuz he doesn't work then. Instead he called within seconds to ask if he can get the mail early tomorrow a.m.
Lucky for me early to him is 10. I've got 10 hours to clean the house, or at least the upper decks. And look fresh and smashing. I'll do a face mask while I clean. That may make up for the lack of sleep.
I'm excited. Get to see my boy, if only for a moment.
Fake it til you make it? K. I'm calm. I'm happy. I have everything under conrol. I'm relaxed. I'm very happy. I'm in charge. I'm cool. I'm fun. Life is easy. - This is my mantra for the next few hours while I transform the living quaters.
Michelle, where are you? I could use you already.
I feel like a kid on xmas eve. Ridiculous for a grown woman, I know. If anyone stops by with advice or encouragement, I'll be grateful. Well actually I'll be too busy to check in for it. But the thoughts are nice. I will not throw my arms around him. I will not tell him how terribly much I miss my every day buddy. I will not mention the L word. I will not complain or explain what problems I'm having. I will be funny if given a 1/2 a chance. He likes my smile best of any woman's smile, so I'll flash him some of that. Should I tell him I haven't been laid since Jan. 24th, (the day I told him I got the cat?) JUST KIDDING!

ROTFLOL! Life is so funny. I buffed and polished up the house, working until 4a.m. Even moved furntiture that I won't be keeping to the downstairs. This a.m. I woke up early and washed the floors one more time with frankinsence oil. I showered, did a chanel eye mask, put on my french oil, wore the perfect dress. My house looks better than ever, better than last bf saw it for sure! Then I walked the dogs to get coffee. While there, decided to get Mark a tea. Walking home with 2 hot drinks, 2 dogs, and my bag was a challange. The tea fell over and soaked my bag ruining my fancy new phone. I had to scramble around for an old phone & charger & charge the spare. When I had power, I called him. Sure enough I had missed his call and now he can't come cuz he has to meet with a client. He'll call to reschedule.
Here I am... the house is beautiful and smells yummy, I have his tea, my phone is ruined, I've wasted a chanel eye mask.
At least I will enjoy the clean house, it's much less cluttery since I've been collecting thngs I won't keep in the downstairs family room. It really looks better than ever. Made me think about offering the slum lord 1/2 what I've withheld, $3,300. if she agrees to make repairs. If she doesn't do it, I'll live out another 6 wks wo rent and be right back where I am now. 6 wks longer to look for an apt. Plus if she accepts, she can't proceed with eviction. My apartment is really nice. Much bigger and more beautiful by far than anything I've seen in 21/2 mo of looking.
I can't believe this. Well it caused me to get a grip on the house cleaning - if it's only for me well than I'll enjoy it. Maybe he'll come soon so it's not for naught.

Still makes me laugh. That'll teach me. I am now using my daughter's old rejected phone. Just got home and the cup of tea still sitting here. That was really stupid.

Funny Michelle. I guess you aren't interested in the personal assistant position. You think work is more important than my 10 minute exchange with my ex, huh? I see how you are.... shelfish shelfish. {hope you know I'm creating a little nonsense here, only making some fun}
Well, I'm sure most of us that find ourselves here have adopted some thicker skin and some amount of sarcasim. Goes with the territory.
At least you all can appreciate my sparkly home. There's certainly no one else here who does. My kid isn't here to undo it so it may actually stick.

Mystery. Since I washed the floors downstairs last they should be clean. My D is away. Aside from any hair that fell off the pets today, it should be like I left it. Well! there is a mark on the floor that the basement door made as it was opened into the hallway. And 3 basement dust footprints that are at leat 2 sizes smaller than my foot. I kept wondering if I had gone to the basement b4 leaving for work, but I didn't. There's only 3 prints, either the dust came off showing no further track, or the potential intruder went back down. Very weird. My valuables are all here. Has to be a woman's footprint. Possibly accessed house from cellar doors, which I thought were secure. I'm going to go downstairs and see if I can find any other clues. {I'm home alone, if this was a movie it would not be a recommended idea.}
Disconcerning for sure. I am sick of feeling like I'm living in a mystery novel. I know the stress and paranoia can feed my active imagination. But I placed my foot on the print & mine is way bigger. My kid isn't here. My pets have paws not shoes. this is very weird. Thought about calling PD, but they are going to think I'm nuts. If they didn't want valuables than maybe looking for something else. But what? Some evidence to be used against me perhaps? Oh boy. I need a new place to live asap. The good news is once this is over, it will really be over. And life can turn on a dime, so all this will just make a funny story someday. But for now, it is getting to me.

Mark is coming tomorrow a.m. And I can actually sleep tonight cuz I'm ready for him. :-D

Your landlord is female isn't she?

You'd have to pay me some serious bucks to get me to move across the country. Here online you get it for free. Hey...wait a minute!?!?!?!
