Good man!

I'm in envy mode with your retro and the W 180 (but I'll try to get over it).

Peace.

Goingtofixme, there are a lot of things that "offends" on this board, but after all...you are the one visiting on this thread....it is not YOUR thread. This is one area that I don't think people who "do" believe in God should have to keep their mouth shut just b/c you find it offensive! I would think it would be left up to those who control the DB Board.

Quote:
What about us people who do not believe in a god, Kevin? No chance for our marriages being saved?

Sorry for the threadjack, O! Congrats on the good things happening in your sitch. Just had to post a comment about something that offended.

There are people here on the board who believe in a lot of …what they call “higher power” that I do not accept as a higher-like power, nor do I believe that they are referring to the God I believe in. However, I simply choose to ignore what they say in reference to it or stay away from their threads. If the person who owns the thread wishes that nobody speak to him/her about “God” then he/she can say so, but until that person expresses his/her wishes, I think we should be free to discuss it.

It is not about what you feel should work in your M. It is about doing the work that gets the right results. Do what works!

I agree Sandi2,

I happen to know from speaking to Orich that he does believe in God. So I felt comfortable saying what I said on this thread.

Well, it's my thread, and I'm a practicing Roman Catholic who is in full communion with Rome. In fact, up until recently, I was in the seminary preparing to become an ordained permanent Deacon.
I invite all to comment in here, I certainly appreciate people talking about God, and I don't get offended by atheists who might post here. I want insight from as many people as I can get! Kevin draws inspiration from God as I do, and I like his religious input. I don't think he was putting down atheists. If he was, I wouldn't appreciate that one bit.

No, I was not putting down athiests at all. I hadn't even thought about them to be honest. I was just adding inspiration.

On Sunday, the boys and I went to my parents' house for the day. She called to tell me she'd be home around 4. I told her that if she'd like, she could come to my parents' for dinner. She said she'd call when she got back to let me know. At around 4 she called again to let me know she was home. I asked if she was coming. She said she would. She had been kinda avoiding my parents lately, but she decided to come. When she got there, she was in a good mood. We spoke pleasantly about our respective weekends. She brought up my birthday dinner with my folks. The four of us (Me, W and boys) went for a walk around the neighborhood. We went home around 7, and after putting the kids to bed, she went to the food store, I did the laundry. We kept talking, which we haven't been doing. FInally around 10 I went to bed, she waited for the dryer to be done and came in then. I was already asleep.
So, whereas before we were avoiding each other, yesterday we talked a lot. No sarcasm or indifference in her voice. We didn't speak of Saturday morning's texts.
She sees her IC this Tuesday. I don't know what will happen then. According to her, the IC is helping her move on. It was after seeing her IC last week that she sent me the letter.
I see my IC this Thursday.
The way I see it now, there is something there. No matter what happens now, I know there is something there, and I am going to fight for my marriage until I am satisfied that there is no longer any chance for it's survival.

With this new glimmer of hope, is an invitation to dinner at the restaurant where we met for our anniversary next week appropriate?
