is there a treatment for BB addiction? I do not expect a cure. Should we start a BB Anonymous kind-of-thing?

hehehe! You are DEFINITELY asking the wrong person about that one!! I find myself "jonesin'" when I don't get my daily fix of checking in here!!

Here's something Michele wrote over a year ago about this subject. (I really MUST be an addict to remember where some of these old posts are hidden!!)

Hey, I say,if you're going to get hooked on something, it could be worse. Support, friendship, solutions, ideas, an occasional kick in the butt....it's all pretty addicting, especially when you're feeling down in the dumps or lost. IT's pretty addicting too when you're committed to helping others. Do we need to start DBer's Anonymous?

As far as I'm concerned, stay as long as you'd like. That's why I created this place.

I can see myself typing away in my super-duper computer while I wait for the birth of my first great-grandchild...

Surely, by then, the internet will be like Star Trek's Holodeck...no more typing!

Giggle.

A bit of journaling (now that I have managed to lure JJ to my thread with rather unorthodox tactics I have to show I am serious, albeit addicted)

So far, there has been no fallout from my visit to H's office yesterday. H has not mentioned it at all (but did not bring his clothes either : I am scheming about that).

He was nice last night, and we went to the bookstore (Beary Bears stickers). We spooned like good old people in the cold Wild West (his idea of normal room temperature at night would make a polar bear shiver. Our electrical company is going to give us the Client of The Milennium Award any day now) and he was very sweet this morning.

My H does not go to that office on Tuesdays so he is not seeing her today. He is going to pick our 'big girl' and I at dance class to go to dinner. He has suggested we make it into a weekly ritual (one positive step) in the same Thai restaurant. Since before he would never suggest outings or try to spend time with us it is definitely an improvement.

I do not pretend to upstage Shiny's kidney, but I think I have earned myself an ulcer with all the rollercoasting. I cannot tell him because he starts mothering me and I hate antacids . Whoever invented Maalox should drink a gallon. I am making do with milk and bagels (not good for my figure, I know).

A day away from the computer and look at all the action you have had. Told you you belonged here! (Hey, I just got to say a "told you so", can't do that around here, at least not yet).

I love the subtle tactics and staking territory. My best friends father used to have a few affairs and her mother would invite her to dinner! Of course, she pretended she did not know about the affair, kill them with kindness.

Keep up the positives. Great reading.

Jackie, how did you manage to be one whole day away from the computer? You did not go cold turkey, did you?

I had to go to a retreat in AZ with absolutely no access to civilization to do that. Nearly died in the process, also.

Hey there, my dear!

Just wanted to let you know that I'll try to drop in here on you sometime tomorrow. Maybe we can look again at those goals you had here at the beginning of this thread.

In the meantime, it sounds like you're doing some stuff that's working, and have every reason to be an "optimist"!!

Hope your evening's going well!!

So what was that deal to get JJ on your thread...snap your fingers three times??? J/K!!

Things are pretty good (kidney aside) in shinyville.

Hi Opt, I think your H proposing a regular "date" with "his girls", especially as this sounds like a 180 for him, is just GREAT!!!
