I have calmed down more. They know they will be paying for it but it seems as if I never get just a week of calm, always something. Lessons just need to keep being learned. I know when I was growing up a major spanking would be happening and while I don't fully agree with that mode of thinking, perhaps I have been too easy.

This was so much easier when there was some one else to defuse the frustration with. Now it is just me.

Thankfully the globe doesn't cost all that much but it may be a week before I get it. The kids felt so bad about it they want on a major cleaning spree without being told. I barely recognize the kitchen or entertainment center. I suppose sometimes they do hear me and it does matter to them.

My being disappointed or hurt by their actions...they get it. No things will still get broken but they are beginning to see. Gosh, they are growing up. smile

My kids keep doing little things around the house like that all the time and I catch myself telling them we have no money to fix them often. Which as I read, is not very healthy. I am trying to stop getting paranoid as much but it does seem impossible at times...

I am glad they tried to make it up to you. Sounded sweet of them. They are only kids after all smile .

I do feel bad when I get upset. I am trying so hard to change my house to get ex's ghost out of it. I want them to understand about taking care of things. Maybe it was because I was upset with the boys who are older that I don't feel as guilty as maybe I should.

And if they were breaking stuff, why not the really old fan that is on it's last leg and not the brand new one?? smile

Thanks for stopping by. kat

I went by the store where I purchased the fan to see if they had a replacement globe(per the manufacturers suggestion...said it would be cheaper). The guy there was nice and asked if I still had the broken globe, I did. He said bring it by and we will swap it out for a new one. I was really relieved and grateful.

Now with that done, I targeted my tree which is leaning into my driveway. I got some bungie cords and used them to secure the tree to the railing. That tree is still pretty heavy and leaning a bit. May still have to cut it down. Just take a deep breath and keep going! smile

Just when I thought nothing more should happen this week...The kids felt really bad about the globe and went cleaning crazy as I mentioned. I didn't notice right away that they had moved/lost/thrown out my perscription! We were looking all over.

So having no luck finding it I call the drs office and explain what happened. Insurance didn't cover it because it wasn't within the allowable timeframe for a refill but I did get it. Never think you are safe from more calamity!
