I try! Always something lets me know that I am alive. I just wish those moments were more pleasant and not the bad kind. Had a really nice day yesterday with my parents and S16. The rest of the kids were with their Dad. Hate that the weekend is almost over.

Just thinking on the computer: I have always thought that for the most part people think the same. With this I mean the goal of your life to make a difference in the world. Also to have a job that you were passionate about. I am deeply saddened to find that this isn't the case. What a rude awakening. Am I so naive??

I am beginning to feel that maybe I am the one out of place. Not sure how to rectify it, but am open to ideas.

People change at their own pace. I really believe that God made each of us for a purpose, and it is our job to figure that out, and do what we are meant to do. Not all people think this way. There are many people (I was once this person) whose main goal is to be happy. It's a great, and healthy goal if thought through deeply, because happiness can come from more than flitting from thing to thing thinking only about oneself. Happiness can come from serving God, from thinking about others, from being thoughtful, etc.

Life and life's lessons have a way of guiding our thoughts and decisions. We are all on a different path. HOpefully, we can all get on the right one...the one God intended for us.

I used to think that too. Everyone thought the same as me, but of course we all think differently. I do think some of the difference is some maybe have low self-esteem and maturity/immaturity which makes a difference, some of us are more others-focused and some are more self-focused. Things like that. But I also think a bunch of us here kind of think the same, and my friends seem to also.

Why do you feel out of place? Karen

I had brought this up at our last book club and just couldn't fathom the scope of it all. I know I am not at my ultimate job but I do want to be working at a job that I can be happy at until I find the one I have passion for.

So many people I have tried to talk to about this, just don't even get what I am thinking. So I do feel like the odd man out, so to speak. It has been my focus for my whole life, just need to figure out how to make it happen.

S16 had a bad day at work. Got written up for his drawer being short. He is trying so hard to get everything right that he is stressing. I told him he should talk to the general manager and let her know what he is doing to be careful with orders and such and get maybe some advice from her.

anyway he wanted to go to a movie tonight to de-stress with his brother and a friend. He asked his Dad if he could take them but Dad is off with skank out of town and he wasn't planning on coming back in town tonight. Let's see he told me to let the cards fall where they may(earlier this month you may recall). Just goes to show that his actions are speaking volumes to his kids.

I am puppy sitting at work for the rest of the afternoon!! It is my bosses new puppy. fun stuff!

She is napping right now. She had to come be out where she could see me. she is alseep with her stuffed monster toy under her head. Gosh, I miss having a dog.
