I too homeschool, have for 7 years now and it is wonderful. For some, not for others. Not to hijack, but Karen, have you looked into Florida Virtual School? It is for middle and high school, offers classes that they can get in regular school but is much better than Florida public schools. I have been using it for my S for a few years now and it is great. My son is gifted and the programs here just do not meet his needs. FLVS lets him move at his own pace, is run by Stetson University (at least they started it) and the classes are much harder than what the public schools are doing.

I am still married, crazy as that sounds. She doesnt push things through because she doesnt want her child support to go up to what it should be. I don't push it through because I just cannot afford to. If I had the money, this would be over with.
We don't talk unless we have to and then it depends on what we are talking about. If it is Ross, we are civil. If it is Tawny, she is a raving lune and still blames me for her crap. I just ignore it, grab my pretzels, and move forward.
I am not dating anyone right now. I did for a while and it was nice. Right now I just don't have the time or energy to add that to my life. I am busy with work, school, softball 3 nights a week, and the kids. I think that adding a woman to that mix right now would just about drive me to start smoking crack

I have been doing my thing I suppose ? Being very much a social animal when my boys are not here and just moving along with life as it presents itself. Being a single parent presents its own obstacles and challenges and of course, finances is always one of them. This economy does not bode well for someone who earns a living from others with disposable incomes ( ie. Will updates and estate planning etc..)esp for older peeps on a fixed income.
So I guess to summarize.. Just hanging in there like everyone else ?

Hi, Ian. Sorry for the hijack, but yeah, cat, we LOVE FLVS! My S15's been using it for 3 years now. Teachers and classes are great! I rave about them to everyone! And I also plan to have the kids do community college when high school juniors--they can get the first 2 years of college for free so very cool!!!
