Those angry feelings will come out at one point or another. You can only bury them for so long. As long as you're not intentionally rude or nasty you certainly don't owe XW an apology. The last two years have not been a waste. It's part of the whole process and it will take even more time to really get through this.
As for the appraisal on the house, the market has sure taken a tumble in comparison to a year ago. I'm facing the same thing with the condo H is living in which we want to sell but is worth much less than what we paid for it (the downpayment for it was all mine). It certainly adds to the resentment.

Hey Addie, I hear you about the time....soemtimes I feel I am doing fine and then hit a litttle speed bump. In this case i saw the speed bump...I didi not realize it was going to affect me. having said that the house issue sure does not help. i feel your pain about the down payment becasue that is also my sitch and it was substantial. At this point i just want my share of the monye and close the chapter...the book will always saty open (D8) but once the money is in my bank account and the divorce finalized things will be better....I think. Who knows, by then I may even be involved with another woman!
