Kat, Speaking of your smart son, I loved what you talked about on Karen's thread. I copied so I could paste it over here.

Gotta love him. Talk about truth darts for your H! Don't you know your H was squirming in his seat. Wouldn't you have loved to have witnessed that?!
That boy of yours has a very good head on his shoulders! He must get it from his mother!

I'm starting to do the same thing. I'm looking around at all the CRAP I have collected in my house and its time to just get rid of it all. Its clutter and I'm to the point I can't stand it.
Have you heard of Oprah's clutter challenge. It's called something like that. Peter Walsh is her "clutter expert". I caught the last 5 minutes of the show they had on it and he recommends every day every family member fill up a bag to throw out and one bag to donate. I really think that would make a huge change and wouldn't even be that big a deal. If you sign up on her website, they send you emails too re: clutter assignments. I'm a sucker for that kind of thing! And now we're even with the hijack, Kat, but really it was an accident! Karen
I have. I get so tired of the e-mails even though they have cut back dramatically. I am just going to start somewhere which has always been my issue...where to begin??
As for the birthday dinner, yep, I would have loved to have been a spider on the wall! Even D10 spoke up and told her that she isn't about to like someone that actively worked to break up our family. She even said that she wanted to go punch her. Skank mumbled a couple of times but none of the kids heard what she said. Bet it made my former in-laws squirm to since they aren't "brave' enough to voice their opinions about their philandering son. Honestly I didn't put them up to any of it.
My kids may not always be the best behaved or whatever else they may be judged on, but they are priceless wonders to me. Gotta love 'em.

UUGGHH, My sweet d8 has already lost her glasses!! Not even a whole week. I swear she would lose her head if it weren't attached. Something, somewhere in her little noggin just doesn't put a priority on such things. She has lost 2 coats(last year) and a lunch box at the start of the school the past two years, so she is brown bagging it.
I told her to think of them as part of her face, they don't come off until bed or bath. Any ideas of how to keep them from being lost, besides glueing them to her head??

I don't suppose glass chains are cool......but....maybe some really cool, blingy glasses case that she would never want to lose, inside a super cool purse/backpack kid thing???/ Just a thought. I like your way of explaining to think of it as part of your face.
Sorry, I don't have any good advice Kat! But you know I can relate!!! My D9 still isn't doing great with them. I don't think the chain has been that great. H got her one, and she never actually uses it. I guess it makes them easier to find with the big chain, but I haven't seen too many 8 & 9 year olds wearing them!!! Karen
She has to really work on lists or remembering or something!! she also forgot or misplaced 4 discount cards for a fund raiser! Good thing I love her or I would have to pack her off. LOL
She is already getting teased for her glasses but I think she looks adorable. They have purple frames. I just hope someone finds them.

They will turn up. The good thing about glasses is that they really are only good for your D, not like someone else could use them. My D insisted on pink glasses and got them, and I think she looks really cute. She loves them, just not used to them I guess!!! So how are you doing, still shopping till you drop or what? Share any fun details please so I can live vicariously. Karen
