Man, Starship Troopers! What an awesome book. I'd have to rate that as my number one favorite fiction book. I hated the movie though.

Wish that first edition was hardcover!

I'm a big Heinlein fan. My favorite creepy short story is "they"

Journaling....
Yesterday W tells me that she is going to pay her cell, bill and pay some bills among them the gas bill. I watched her count out her money and thought hey cool pay on that gas bill!
Today she calls me and says that she's thinking about another tattoo. I didn't say anything...I know better.
Tonight she's sporting a new tat.
No I'm not surprised.
So well see if she is going to pay on our bills. I know the tat wasn't much but still.
Yesterday and today was her days off. Yesterday she was at home all day and night. Tonight of course she's out.
Again, No I'm not surprised. Ive learned to deal with this and leave it to God. The kids seem to deal with it too. Still its sad.
She works the rest of the week until Tuesday. She should have plenty to bill pay with \:\)
I just have to think of a nice way to bring it up.

Gman, turn down the heat and give everybody a sweater. \:D

Ok, I was just kidding. No easy way to ask that. Money's always a problem with MLCers. I'm always amazed how during the MLC, it's suddenly "my" money, not the family's. Maybe it provides some weird feeling of independence.

Anyway, we know the best way is to just nicely say hey, I could use some help with the bills here, could you help out with the gas? Don't mention the cell bill, that's hardly as important as heat in February. Besides, wouldn't it be just too bad if that went away for a while?

It always started a huge fight when I did that, hope it doesn't for you. Maybe timing will help.

Best,

Punkt.

Hey ya Punk!
Ya I usually pay a few bills and put it on paper what I paid and what I need help with. That usually works ok.
I shouldn't complain too much, she paid for the work done to her car and state inspection on her car too.

Here is a tune Id like to sing to my W. Maybe someday...
Why? Because you could look at it like the girl in the song is in a MLC, a voyage of discovery so to speak...

Now that she's back in the atmosphere
With drops of Jupiter in her hair, hey, hey
She acts like summer and walks like rain
Reminds me that there's time to change, hey, hey
Since the return from her stay on the moon
She listens like spring and she talks like June, hey, hey

Tell me did you sail across the sun
Did you make it to the Milky Way to see the lights all faded
And that heaven is overrated

Tell me, did you fall for a shooting star
One without a permanent scar
And did you miss me while you were looking for yourself out there

Now that she's back from that soul vacation
Tracing her way through the constellation, hey, hey
She checks out Mozart while she does tae-bo
Reminds me that there's room to grow, hey, hey

Now that she's back in the atmosphere
I'm afraid that she might think of me as plain ol' Jane
Told a story about a man who is too afraid to fly so he never did land

Tell me did the wind sweep you off your feet
Did you finally get the chance to dance along the light of day
And head back to the Milky Way
And tell me, did Venus blow your mind
Was it everything you wanted to find
And did you miss me while you were looking for yourself out there

Can you imagine no love, pride, deep-fried chicken
Your best friend always sticking up for you even when I know you're wrong
Can you imagine no first dance, freeze dried romance five-hour phone conversation
The best soy latte that you ever had . . . and me

Tell me did the wind sweep you off your feet
Did you finally get the chance to dance along the light of day
And head back toward the Milky Way
(repeat first chorus)

Gman, Hang tight bro. I know it's a tough weekend for you.

Just think, this weekend, I'm doing "joint" taxes, trying to unstain 2 rust stained toilets, and I expect a "Fight's on" phone call from the ex tomorrow morning.

I swear if I could afford it, I'd buy 2 new toilets.

Just bought Halo 3 for tonight though, if I can stay awake for another hour.

Keep those kids warm and fuzzy bro.

Best,

Punkt.

Hugs back Gracie!! \:\)
I'M doing good. Leaving it to the big man upstairs.
We had a good weekend. Friday night the boys spent the night at a friends house. W worked and was home at a decent hour.
Saturday day we all had a lazy family day and watched movies. She had her phone shut off and in her purse. Usually its right next to her at all times. A nice change because she wasn't getting texts all damn day. About 3pm we went to IL house and had dinner. She had to go to work so I dropped her off.
Saturday night went without a hitch with the kids and she came home from work rather early (for her)
I wasn't sure who dropped her off...wasn't really watching cause I was playing some COD4 \:\)
She was tired from working and she thought she was starting to get sick. So I sat up with her for a bit before going to bed.
Sunday came and we went to the zoo with the IL because it was opening day. Our zoo closes down during the winter to save costs.
At first we met for breakfast and I noticed she wasn't looking too good.I asked if she wanted me to take her home and she thought that was a good idea. She wasn't doing at all.
I took her home real quick while the IL waited at the restaurant with the kids.
We all had a good time at the zoo Sunday!
Cold!!! but nice!!
W had Sunday off from work and it was a good thing cause she wasnt doing good. She was somewhere between the flu and a really bad cold. So I did the good hubby thing and took care of her. Hopefully when its all said and done she remembers this. No that's not why I'm doing it but I hope it registers in that alien brain

Yup I'm doing good.

Hey Punk Hows things? How did the toilets work out? Did you try CLR? Be cool Bro! I gave the gang a hug from ya.

You know, even if it is not MLC, I do think that a big part of what makes the A appealing is that it is not real. There isn't as much of an issue with, say, dirty socks on the floor. You hang around for a while and leave.

Marriage involves bills and dirty socks and a lot of the familiar. and familiarity breeds contempt.

What's your 180s, Gman?

Hi Breton!
My 180's? Well aside from working out regularly and taking better care of myself. I'm not as uptight about the bills as I once was.
I now have no problem asking her for help with them even if she pops off with attitude.
I'm standing my ground on issues and I wont do things just to please her attitude. I'm not walking on eggshells around her but I'm not starting any crap either.
I'm more spiritual than I was. I want to show her that I'm more calmer than I was...showing that place of peace.
It does get to me when I know she's out with OM. I try like hell not to show it but sometimes it slips a little.
I'm thinking more about the kids and being upbeat for them and me too really. Ive realized I cant pull her through the tunnel into the light of day, even through I want too.
Its not up to me, This is all part of a bigger plan....Gods plan for us.
