It was the undertone of her needing to seek my approval in the interaction that was the point.
This morning she is here as I pack my stuff to go to the Las Vegas data center. She asked me if I wanted her to make extra coffee as she wanted some this morning and I told her not to make more than she needed.
I also was sitting eating cereal and looking at my bowl as I ate. I caught her out of the corner of my eye glancing at me several times.
Dhe gets the boundaries but I'm afraid she doesn't get why.

I disagree that she was seeking approval. I think you somehow seemed annoyed to her - which - BTW - is how she's going to interpret your detachment because she is SO immature at this point...
I was more drawn to THIS:
Quote:
W: Is that ok with you, you seem annoyed.
Me: I'm not annoyed, I have no feelings either way
Right - perhaps not about the table but I sensed you wished to convey that you had no feelings about ANYTHING - which is only wishful thinking for you at this point - and a spiteful thing to say. I am about 99.9% sure THAT was a real undertone.

The more you work on you and your kids, the less time you will have to worry about what your wife is doing or thinking. I know, I am at guilty of the same thing, my wife finally got an apartment, she is out of our trailer, bills are being seperated, and yes life will teach her, she needs to learn, just like your wife. Take care of you.

How was your trip to Las Vegas? Did the job go well? Did you have any interesting interactions with anyone? What is Vegas like this time of year? It's got to be warmer and Sunnier than Ohio!
What new hotels are going up? Who is playing the strip? How about the traffic? Did you notice any decrease of cars on the road because of the economy? Etc, Etc, etc...
You have a lot of other stuff you can talk to all of us about other than W. Right now, they may seem mundane and boring to you because your life is so wrapped up in the unraveling of your marriage. Start with the boring and before you know it, you'll be telling us all about some great project you are perfecting. We don't mind the boring details of life. We are here to listen and encourage. Throw us a bone and we will help you pull all that greatness out of you!
Great big hugs!

Was there a small army guarding the SuperNAP? Did they frisk you before you went in to see if you had any static ray guns or portable media?
Actually, there is. Security from section to section consists of a series of 'man traps', i.e. passageways you go in with an access card, the door closes behind you, then there is another door you use your card again BUT it requires you to scan your fingerprint. If it don't match, you can't leave or get in.
You have to intercom security before you can use your pass to get in the outer door. Each succesive section requires ou to use your card to get in or out.
In the main security office they are all dressed in flack jackets and the office has bulletproof glass. Behind the glass are large screen tv's with weather maps, world wide 'events' maps and other things. They have a rack of high tech collapsible shotguns also.
Everything is very 'military' and they are all very polite and professional. The tech staff are also very polite and helpful.
They don't 'frisk you', they just control access. You can bring in a box with anything you want but they KNOW who you are and you must be a client to get the electronic pass.
It's all set up to make sure they can control who goes in and out with biometrics, and to defend against any outsider trying to get in without authorization.
The down side was that the original installation I requested of Gigabit fiber was not there, instead it was 100meg fiber. And one of the power couplings was not working. I was able to do what I needed anyway and we'll sort it out later.
Left Vegas at midnight and got home at 4 am. A new record. 80-90 mph the whole way and still the Prius got abut 35 mpg.
