Maybe I'm just having a good day or something but I noticed a few things...
Got this text from W: "can you tell me when I can come and get all my things? there is is some xmas stuff that my mom gave me that I would like someday".
W is showing respect and not demanding. I replied back with humor and wouldn't let the serious conversation stay on track... W finally lightend up. Even offered to bring back some of the Christmas stuff I bought. I stopped texting her and got a "You still there text back." I'm done with her for the night. Leave her wanting more.
I sent W a text on accident (meant for SIL)reading "you still there?" W responds "yah". I replied "Oops wrong person". W is flipping out.. "Who you talking to", "Guess you can't tell me", "Why are you keep secrets". I'm not responding... What does she care?

Do YOUR version.. I think you are gettig the concept. Duck and dodge. Exaggerate when she asks you a question but do not answer her directly.. Leave her wanting more... Just as you did last night... Let her lead and pursue. Just respond sometimes faster than others or sometimes not at all...
Remember.. Be aware of overdoing the "advanced technique"... LOL.. A little medicine goes a long way...
