It was fun. Met my boss and some business friends downtown for drinks. Everyone was in a pretty good mood. After a couple of hours we decided to go to another place for dinner. Had a great steak, salad and baked potato. After another couple of hours we all left to go home. Saw H's truck at the pub as I drove home so I stopped there. He seemed happy to see me and bought me a drink. We left together at about 11 and didn't get to bed until 12. I got up at 5:15 this morning and I could go back to sleep right now I am so sleepy.

The good news is that H called me a bit ago to see how I was and if I had any plans this evening. I told him no and that I was tired. He said that he would make dinner tonight so that we could eat right when I got home, and then I can rest. I told him I appreciated his call and that he had made me feel very good.

Stringing together positive steps feels good.

YEAH For you HOPE!! That sounds like a blast last night for you, and that your H didn't mind you coming to have a drink with him at the pub is a huge step! (to me anyway, since of his actions before when you were there).
Glad he called and it sounds like you have a very nice evening to look forward to tonight!

Hope honey, you sound a lot better. I hate car accidents but H did a great thing. Glad the woman was ok.

I'm not worried at all about the comment. Just little frustrating when you make a choice and then you have to maybe reconsider. Just hanging in for now. I'll be fine no matter what.

It's 15 degrees here and we got another 1+ inch of snow last night. H is out plowing and salting, since about 5am.

Yes, he did a good thing. He has had lots of first aid training and never hesitates to do what is required in an emergency. In that way he has always made me feel very safe. This is the second accident in less than 5 months. While our road was under construction this past summer a young woman (very drunk, blew a .3 BAC) lost control in front of our house, became airborn and launched her small truck into our trees. The truck burst in to flame and H had to break her out. It's been a rough year for that kind of thing.

15 and Snow. Kel has a cold front coming through to drop her to 68! All I want for Christmas is a Real Good Tan,.....and some extra frosting. (Sorry see my thread for the frosting comment) LOL.
