I don't think so because you are clear that this is not what you want. The stories in it may help you in your sitch and as long as you keep what YOU want in the forefront of your mind, then I think all information is helpful.

You said the book had points about what it took for couples to get back together, so I don't see that as a bad thing.
I'm glad you are getting the Love Dare book. Lots of scriptures and keeps you focused in the right direction.
Btw..got my H the Gio for his bday. OMG he smells soooo good. I keep going Mmmmmmmmm.....and he says, "OMG I should have gotten this a longggggggggggggggg time ago." lol

ok just a short hijack, some of you know, i have been doing the love dare. it is a good book, bottom line, it is helping me with a huge hurdle, forgiveness. even if we still D, I know all and well I truly did everything I could, AND I think I will be able to forgive. hugs to you all

Hey all. Just sitting in Barnes & Noble having a latte. Debating... with myself.
Am picking up The Love Dare. BUT also came across another book - deciding to D. It is a book that explores the decision process. From what I scanned, there are good case studies of folks that have S and what happened to bring them back together as well as others that ultimately D.
Debating whether to get it or not. Have been doing a lot of thinking (when S13 and I have not been out and about) and I have to be realistic. D is NOT what I want and I have continuously told W this (last time was last Tuesday). Will getting this book hurt my resolve? Thoughts?
I think that -- from what I know about The Love Dare -- that those two books represent quite the polar extremes in terms of approaches. I personally am a much stronger advocate of the fertile "middle ground" of DBing, particularly when accompanied by some firm boundary-setting and tough love.
"The Love Dare," from what I understand of it, smack me of pursuing, and of course I'm no advocate of divorce (altho I understand sometimes it's necessary, and have even filed for it myself in the past).
oh and patience it will help with patience, oh trust me lol it so will!! have u seen the movie?? i suggest seeing it, it sure will help you if you are really gonna do the book.
