As scary as it all is, I am soooo ready to be done with him messing with my life. I am so done with him making a choice that creates a hurricane around me and I was the one already working on boarding up the windows.

I have to believe in God and what goes around comes around. I have already been in hell for 2.5 years, I can only hope he will get to be there for eternity.

Are you kidding me? It must be so frustrating thinking that it would be over and on to a new life, and your H is still doing this stuff. I kind of had thought the same thing until I see what you've been going through. I guess we'll be intertwined with them in future more than we'd like...but I do think things will get better. (I'm going to get a really big, burly boyfriend in the future to intimidate H--won't that be fun???) Karen

I would settle for someone that knew what love means and wants to be with me. It certainly wouldn't hurt if he were tall and could scare the living day lights out of ex. lol

Ok....I may be a little slow....but, if HE is responsible for it, based upon your divorce settlement, then how come YOU have to pay it. Yeah, I get that your name is on it, and that is legal and all that. But, the divorce is legal, too. And, if he DOESN'T pay it, then something isn't equal.

From what I hear, the creditors aren't bound by a divorce decree.

Oh. It just doesn't seem right. I wish we could all sit him down and have a "talk" with him. Can you picture that?

That MC is exactly the problem, because when Mr wonderful(said with tons of sarcasm) decided to stop paying and start "working" towards filing bankruptcy, they start after me. They do not care about any silly divorce decree.

I could sue him but he doesn't have any money to pay so I really don't know if that would help. I'm looking into that. I have just accepted it in my mind that I can NOT count on him in any way shape or form. For me to avoid bankruptcy, I have to count on him and trust that he will pay his bills. I can't do that.

I would love to "picture" that "talk"! I have a few friends that are cops that have offered to persuade him to own up and be a man but I don't know if even that would help.

Wait until after he files BK; then sue him. If you sue before the BK; your judgment against him possibly could be discharged through his BK.
