How did you know what my ex looked like?? lol I didn't sleep well, but only woke up about an hour before my regular time. Much better than 3am! I am not sure that I can do this until February. The B Lawyer suggested waiting until I get my tax refund so that the courts wouldn't take it. I am just not sure that I have it in me to do that.

I'd do what the lawyer says. I don't get how your H gets away with this....it's in the divorce papers that HE needs to pay, so why are you involved in this. Isn't there anything you could do to get taken off those bills? Could your h take your name off of them? Bear with me, I don't know anything about this stuff.

Well he would have to qualify on his own to get the bills in his name only. Bank of America is being really difficult about it and now that ex stopped paying bills of course he won't qualify. I was the primary on the accounts, I think because way back then I was the primary bread winner. Then the kids came along and I worked part time because it actually saved us money.

Not trying to make excuses, we made poor choices and had bad luck. We did this. We relied on credit to get by and then it became a habit. Now the piper is playing and he wants to get paid!

PS...though ex is helping to make this all come to a head right now. funny how he makes a choice and we all get pulled in with him.

Have you ever talked to him specifically about it? I mean how could a man, your ex HUSBAND look you in the eye and say this is all ok?

Just catching up a bit. Listen to the L. And I agree - are these bills needed? If x won't qualify, does that impact you and the k's? If not, I would say "done deal". If it does, not sure - hopefully you can get some help on how to try to right YOUR ship.

Well part of the debt that he is responsible for is debt that has my name on it. that is the part I am worried about. If it were just him with his name on stuff I wouldn't give a flying fig.

This man(if we really want to call him that) honestly believes that he hasn't done a thing wrong, that he shouldn't have to get a second job to pay for stuff that he didn't want to be responsible for(but still signed the decree)and that we won't lose a thing. Everything will be fine and dandy and I will be sitting mighty pretty when this is over. Dumbazz!!!!

Well, you will be once he is out of your life (except in re: to the kids of course). I know you will be doing a lot better after this is all done. You just have to wade through all the sh** your H is leaving for you to clean up first! Karen
