Thank you everyone! D and I went to see her last night. Her 3 hour surgery ended up being 7 hours. The had to remove all bottom left teeth so she's not going to be happy about that. They didn't have to go into the mouth through the outside of her face though, so she'll be happy with that. We talked to the surgeon and I asked how many sutchers she has. He said he couldn't even count since it's her complete lower left jaw full. Poor thing. She was in and out last night and was very sweet. I felt so badly for her. Hopefully she'll be going home today, but he wants her home from school until after THanksgiving.
They're not sure yet. She's the 5th generation to have them. I had 3 or 4 surgeries to remove them. They took all of her teeth out in order to help avoid reoccurance. My sister tm today saying that she's okay with the pain tolerance so far, but is just really scared now. She probably felt around in her mouth and freaked out a bit.
I just called my sister's phone and talked to my mom. Niece is MUCH more swollen then yesterday. She was screaming and crying in the background because they want her to rinse her mouth out with some sort of mouthwash and she's scared to do it. I wish I didn't call at that time since it broke my heart even more. Good news is that they're moving her to another room in the next care level down. So instead of being in cardiac just lower than the ICU level, she'll now be going to regular care. That's got to be a good sign. Still no plans of going home today now though.

Update on niece: she went home! YIPEE!!! Late last night around 9:15. She couldn't get dressed fast enough I guess. I told my sister niece will feel SOOOO much better in her comfy bed instead of in the hospital. I can't wait for us to see her today after I get out of work!
