I haven't changed any traditions my kids have grown up with. I was the one who did all the work while married, so I just kept it up.

I still make clothespin cookies for Christmas, but I've considered giving that up since it takes so darned long. I still have a tree decorating party/dinner the week after Thanksgiving where everyone unwraps their own ornaments and puts them on the tree. I still fry a turkey and roast a turkey (for stuffing).

We still don't open gifts until Christmas morning. Oh and I still go shopping on Black Friday.

We still have a Chocolate cake and a coconut cake on February 13th each year for the boys' birthday.

Hmmm. most of my traditions are about food! Luckily my kids are skinny.

Well, let's see.....my traditions that I have kept after getting D'd have been watching A Christmas Story at LEAST once before Christmas with the kids....getting as much as possible for them on their X-mas lists....soing the same for TRIP....I go ALLLLLLL oput on Halloween to make my place the scariest...try to count on that night, how many kids I have to toss candy to....and....well.....I'll post more later as I think about them!

I always wish my kids "Pretty Dreams." It was something that my mom did with me, and I continued it with them. I think it would be hard to sleep without that each night.

We'll get together between XMas and New Years with my Aunt and cousins in the city. I hope that I'll be able to have Easter at my house next year.

During the week, the kids take turns being cook and picking the game/activity for Game night (both on one night). We all help clean up.

wow, Christmas, its just around the corner tho isnt it? Was in a few stores this weekend and yup, right next to the halloween candy is Christmas decs! yipes!

I tried to keep the same traditions, and we did as a family, as far as my sibs/parents etc. but Ry and I had to adjust a little when ex left. Our big family party is the 26th w/ my siblings and all so that stayed the same, thank goodness for family!
but actual Christmas, Ry and I go to mass Christmas eve, then to dinner, always applebees lol dont know why, not crazy about the place, but its become tradition.

We them go home and watch Christmas Story, my fav, and Christmas Vacations his fav, make Irish coffees-- by then i'm pooped and go to bed lol
The morning we get up and do our gifts, and have cinn. rolls, thats new too, we just decided thats the one day we'll have cinn. rolls pop n fresh lol- So pretty much the same, christmas eve has actually changed more, then anything, and not working last C.E was really nice!


Then we wait for my parents to come over for dinner- now my sisters kids are getting older they come around late afternoon and get ready for the big tadoo the next day. Ry has never seen his dad on Christmas day, its either days before or after, I wonder how ex feels about that but then I think , well it was is choice.

An old tradition with my family and it was something new for FA and his kids when we did Christmas. His dog was very scared by the noise though. She whimpered and hid and was shaking. Poor thing!

hahaha thats too funny Trip, we love our crackers! its funny when we get a new American in law at first they say, say what?? we put these dumb things on our heads? and get this crappy toy? but after a few years they love it too.

I love that. American in law! Excellent.

Yeah, FA had no clue what I was talking about and then I was like oh my God, you guys don't do crackers. WOW!
