"Sometimes I even get the vague feeling my new boss could walk into my office and say "You know, this isn't working out, time for you to leave." Probably the only thing preventing that is that my OLD boss managed to save some face by moving me into another spot, and cutting me loose now would just make him look bad again. On the one hand, I would be happy to be outta here - on the other hand, there are a lot of reasons that would be a Bad Thing. " Boy I can relate to this buddy. Half the time I felt like saying to my old boss “Do you want to hear what I have to say or do you want me to say what YOU want to hear? Being out of work does suck but I am glad to be out a there. I had what you call the “golden handcuffs” I was paid well and had great benefits and vacation time. Even though work sucked I could not leave all that... Anyway THEY made the choice for me... I have few feelers out but due to the holiday I need to wait until Monday or Tuesday to find out...
