My philosphy sometimes is better living by chemical means. I thank God for the man/woman who invented AD's, more particularly Effexor. I don't know how I got through this as it is, and if I wasn't on them, I would have been worse.

It helps. It really does. I have general anxiety and my DR put me on them a few years ago. I tried to go off, and I can't function. It's like my brain is numb.

Of course, it also could be the illegal drugs I did in high school and their after effects. (kidding...kidding)

I swear by AD's. Not all are the same, and what works for you may not be the right one for the next person. There is no way I could have functioned through a lot of the crap I have gone through without them. Like you, I have general anxiety, in fact, on top of my AD's I have a prescription for xanax. That's for the extreme sitch's.

For me it would be nothing but this situation, but it seems I am less able to cope than others on this board, i.e. no sleeping for more than 4 hours per night for the last 6 weeks etc. Anyway I'm definitely going to look at this option now!

For a long time, I was taking Lunesta because w/ the anxiety I had insomnia. I managed to be able to stop that about four months ago, but sometimes what I would do for that "other little blue pill"...

I'm going to my party. Holla atcha all tomorrah!!!!

Whoa!!! I've heard that Effexor is the last resort AD. If you don't get better on that one, there isn't much left to try.

Thanks for the info (((Lola))) and I'm VERY happy for how things are progressing with you and your H.

I was actually just kidding about the drugs. I already knew you were taking some ADs, and I refuse to go down that path even if it would make things easier. Call me a DAM and a glutton for punishment, but, the only better living through modern distillation I want to know about is things like single-malt scotch whiskey and tequila \:\)

Hi Lola! It's funny because I was going to say he could have fallen asleep. Seems he's tired a lot. It's great that he called to talk and tell you he couldn't come to the party. He could have just not shown up. What goals would you like to set now that you've come this far?
