I can certainly understand that. If she cannot find a roomate, what is the alternative? Can you sell the house?
The market stinks right now, one thing I am debating is moving out myself and she can stay in the house until it sells. She would just have to pay a bit more into the joint account. I will discuss it with her next week when she gets back.
What about holding onto the house, getting her payout, and then you selling it when the market improves? Won't you come out WAY ahead then?

no guarantees the market will turn, it used to be the hottest market in the country. There is a hospital being built once that is done (2010).. it will likely regain value. I could do it with a roomate, but you know what, i am to the point where i just want space. Of my own. I just dropped the price 25K this morning

yes that's the house on FB, not going to give it away, but sometimes you have to cut your losses, i really don't want to do it on my own, i won't be happy .. too expensive. I found a suite today that will take my dog and my cat. I will discuss leaving the price as is and W can live there until it sells, i will pay 1/2 mortgage until it does.. sounds reasonable i think.
Paying 1/2 the mortgage does sound like an option.

Now thoughts on FB? I have started removing people that were never really my friends i.e SIL, SIL BF..(they are very 2 faced)and all the marriage friends that decided i wasn't really their friend.. in fact was going to remove my W from FB as well.. just thinking out loud.
