Love, girl. Love.

So besides worrying about your kids yesterday, did you do something new?

You need to.
Yeah, love and maybe it's the chocolate chips I put in them also??? \:\)

When my kids were little, I used to make their pancakes shaped like Mickey Mouse (easy to do; just one big circle and two smaller ones for the ears, connected to the big one). It warmed my heart a few weeks ago when I made homemade pancakes for the boys, and my youngest son -- who turns 12 this week -- asked "Daddy, can you make mine like Mickey Mouse?"

I did the movie.

This week, I plan on going to a nice restaurant by myself.

Today, I was thinking about going to Academy and looking for things for the canoe. A friend had priced the stuff before and it should only be like $40 bucks. And I have a $55 GC for opening a bank account with that bud of mine a few weeks ago.

Perfect. I'll go canoeing this coming Saturday, if not today. No kids this week or weekend \:\(

Gee, sometimes you get on here lately and you have to make sure you are on the right persons thread!

Hopefully Gustaf didn't get you this weekend. You had enough storm drama. When is your car going to be done? Are you doing ok other than your H still behaving badly?

lots of hugs.

kat

Yeah, Gustav is missing us? Did it miss H4H? They said the car was going to be done by the 18th! But I have a rental car for now.

Just feeling bummed. Well, I guess b/c I just saw that one of the toys H had gotten for D8 had "Key West" on it. I guess that's where they went on vacation. It's about an hour away from my FIL's also, so I'm pretty sure they went there also. I never got along that great with FIL, he's a lawyer really into sports and society stuff, Republican, gee a lot like OW I guess. Just makes me sick that he's introducing her to the family even before our D. And I feel like throwing out the water toy aka souvenir of H and ow's trip. Gross. I hate to throw out D8's toy but if it accidentally goes missing in a few days??? Is that too horrible??? Karen

Karen,
Ditto, Ditto, Ditto!

I agree with everything you said above, especially that your H is a sleazebag!!!

Well, your thoughts may not be very DBing, but I totally understand your feelings. I wouldn't want a reminder(D8's toy) of their trip in my house either! I think she'll soon tire of playing with it, then it could go missing...

Just don't let your H know how you feel. Just vent away to us!

Karen,
I wonder wher OW told her H she was going while on the "vacation"? Is she separated also? So I'm assuming her H was in charge of the kids while she was gone. I can tell she's not much of a mom. Who goes off on vacation right when their kids are starting back to school?

I think their divorce is final I'm pretty sure. So now she and her kids are going out with the kids the past month b/c they don't have to worry about her H anymore. I think they don't worry about me either.

I've been told by friends that know her that she isn't a very good mom, usually their dad I think is the primary caretaker. But H thinks that is great; she's really into career and all and for him that's a plus. He doesn't really value moms that take care of kids and stuff; his mom was a career woman, she worked full-time and went back to college to get her graduate degree. I think both of his parents were somewhat non-involved (they had a nanny) so maybe he sees that as more normal than me. Karen

Sorry your feeling low, karen. Me too, but did I clean house or what?

The storm missed me by a long shot. Moving north.

Your gonna have to worry about Hannah, though. And I hear Ike is coming this way, too.

Be careful.
