I immediately thought of Fish when I saw the title to this thread. The difference (big difference) between Fish and Sawks is that Fish had a daughter (can't remember, I think she was 6 or 7). He decided to stop contact with his daughter until the divorce was complete in order not to "hurt her" anymore. And the new and improved girlfriend kindly offered to "help him" repair his relationship with his daughter later on. That sickened me to no end. I don't want to see Sawks give up, but only he knows how much he can take, and it's his decision. Luckily there are no children caught in the middle of this. He only has himself and his wife to think about, and it seems like she's made up her mind. (although I'm throughly convinced that she is confused).
And, please, take your relationship slow. I know it makes it easier to go through the divorce, but really you need time to be alone. This new girl, if she's worth it, will understand and give you that time.

Sawks, it does bring some relief when there is someone there that takes your mind off the pain of a broken relationship. I think the reason you need to take it slow, though, is so that you don't make the same mistakes in the previous relationship. Also, avoidance doesn't make the nasty stuff go away, it just buries it. And eventually, it comes out to rear its ugly head.
You have been working hard on yourself, so I think what we are all trying to say is you should continue to do just that. Don't get into anything serious, and yet don't hurt this new woman either. Make sure you are up front with her. Take things very slow, because not only are you just getting to know her, you are really just getting to know yourself too!

Yes I plan on nothing but slow.. I am sure my W will know something's up , as I put pictures on FB and it's a bunch of pictures of new girl, and my friends, and btw since i have you as my friend, there is a few pics of me so u can see the big blue eyes plus I look "buff" LOL on one of them.. W will likely wonder why I have so many photos of new girl, and a bunch of them in my car. I am ok with that.
Yes no kids, and my decision is that after 3 months, i will continue DB, and continue to better myself. I have learnt alot, and even if my W changed her mind, I am not so sure I would also change, maybe who knows.. but I am happy where I am at right now.
It was nice to hug new girl, and take her for dinner tomorrow, but slow is key.
My decision is based on life's too short, I continue to work on myself. A close friend said to me, since the D word got dropped, you seem so relaxed and happy.

No avoidance, none. We are going to get what needs to be done, done. Period. I was very up front with new girl, she knows the sich, and we go from there. Yes I agree I am just getting to know me.. and now her as well.. slow is the word o the day!

yep thank you :P and considering she also just got out of a 4 year relationship (on a different level).. we will both take it slow. So is it obvious she is new girl on the album on FB? lol.. I am sure my W will be thinking hmmm.. plus new girl asked me to put ALL the pics from the weekend.. utoh
