JWS,

Excellent couple of days!!!! Some good progress, you and your W sound a lot more relaxed which is excellent. I got a kic k out of the hardrive thing though.......your W handled it exceptionally well.....some good "act as if" on her part after getting up set a little bit. Take Julia's advice on the ring....you are still married and you want to remain married...keep it on, if she talks about D again still keep it on until the ink dries.

PS: I am jealous of your job.....of course I am much to old to do that now.

Mondays are sad \:\(

even after a good weekend, its just a reminder that my life is not going how I planned. I just get a little bummed out. Great weekend though.

I had a talk with my mother last night and I realized something. If she did not leave and give me room to grow then when she started school I would have been clingy, mistrusting and a distraction at school. Now I am strong enough to be the man she needs weather or not she sees it. Really strange but I respect her for this. We are either going to be better then ever or we will move on as better people for the experience.

I bought a ton of food last night, I finally felt like cooking a lot and getting back to a more normal home life even if it is alone. I did get to cook dinner for a good friend tonight. Her and her H are great friends of mine and he is out of town so she came over so we both did not have to eat alone it was great company. it was nice to talk about my W with someone who understands (she had to find herself at one point too)

IMHO, you're right where you need to be.

Sadness is part of it, but what would a full life be without sadness?

My Dad told me when I was a little girl--"You will have a hard life, cause you're like me--you feel everything. You will feel the deepest pain, but the reward is you will also get to experience the most amazing joy. I hope you don't shy away from it--cause they're two sides of the same coin. You're LUCKY that you can experience those emotions."

And now I realize he was right--I can't trade the painful parts for the joyful parts, because they're yin and yang--they need each other.

P.S. I gotta remember to thank my Papa for that...

JWS

Sorry you had a sad Monday, I'm glad your friends came over to cheer you up though. What you said about learning all this and not being clingy when she went to school is so right - you are just where you need to be, it's just a bummer it doesn't feel that great.

Howdy, kind of a down or in a rut week. Very busy at work witch is great but very slow at home. It has been so hot that my running slacked off this week. That is too bad because the one run that i did get in was great for PMA. a friend from work forced me to go out last night and we ended up running into a lot of others from work, so that was a good time.

This weekend is family weekend. Our nephews’ birthday is on Saturday so we are driving home together today. Then hanging out for that. On Sunday I am renting a car to get home because she is going to stay until Tuesday. She has to come through here on Tuesday to get home and drop off the puppy. I asked her to go to dinner since Wednesday is our anniversary. No answer on that. But either way she has to come here so i will just leave her gift for her and that will be that.

I hope she has been stressed and busy with school because she has been very short and kind of cold in her emails. I did get about three this week but all of them about two sentences with no intro hello, or any kind of signature. Hopefully that’s stress related. I tried to be supportive and ask about school and wish her good luck for today’s test. Hopefully that was received well but no way to tell.

The main friends that I hang out with here are both out of town for two weeks so that has not helped with things to do around here. I am getting ready to go to New Orleans for two weeks in September so that should be fun.

Sorry I have been laying low but I will get back into everyone threads over the weekend.

JWS,

Hope your weekend goes well. Just curious what did you get her for a gift? (don't want a backslide here).

I didn't know you were coming to visit in September.....hope you have a great time down here. I know what it means to have a good time in New Orleans.........you might not want to go back (although I would take the dry heat over the humidity any day)

JWS- dont worry about how short she is beng in her emails...its not about you. you must remember this! she is stressed...and she sent you 3 emails! that seems like her reaching out to you \:\)

so all you get to do is be loving and strong in the face of her moods. stay stable...thats whats been working!

you get to see her this weekend so make it fun!

can you run at a gym? PMA! \:\)
