LMAO!!! That one did it!



Well, this morning I even contemplated cooking up the sausage and taking that and the wallet and some tv antena's.

The more I thought about it, the more I thought against it. I DID pack all the stuff to go ahead and take to them when I see the girls after work.

As I'm getting ready to leave, my phone rings. GBG is calling me from her phone.
"Hello?"
"Hi."
Sounds like she just woke up.She pauses.
"Have you left the house already?"
"No."
"Well, Juli just woke up and wants to know if you can bring Pup(her favorite puppy)this morning before you leave."

I know I have just enough time to get to work. I'm trying not to accuse her of making me sound like the bad guy. I tell her that I don't want them to be tempted to take the dog outside. She says they wont. Maybe on the patio.

I'm thinking. Crap! Now I'm mad.

"Okay. I'll be right there."
"You just put a big smile on her face."
"Okay, I'll be right there. Bye."

So now I have to find the collar for the thing. Go get it. And secure it in the car. And it is freakin' hot already. I call work and tell boss that I'll be a little late. She's cool. I think about what I'll say the NEXT time she does this.

Hey, I'm learning, right?

I get to apartment. D6 is SO happy. Big hug for me. Puppy running all over the place. I give GBG the package.
"What's this?"
"Sausage."
She looks rough. She's dressed in an outfit she hasn't worn in some time, but one I really like. An orangish color. I LOVE that color on her. Great with her skin tone. Lace up bust that I used to love to unlace. ARGHHHH!!

I hear D6 tell her, "I'm going to give it to him."
GBG says, "You sure it's ready?"

D6 made some pictures of her own and made them and the one's that D11 made into a book.

"Thank you, momma!" I tell her. D11 wakes up and comes to give me a hug.
I tell the girls I have to go, hugs and kisses.
At the door, D11 tells her mom, "I can't wait for Wednesday."

Walking out the door, I give a glance to GBG right behind me.
"Thanks" she says. She has that look of a person that has done something wrong and feels bad about it.
"Bye."

Next time, ask to talk to your daughter directly, so you can tell her "I'm sorry, but Daddy's already late for work. I will bring Pup tonite, okay?"

or some such.

You will learn that your wife is going to use the kids to keep her contact up with you. Don't feed into that.

The sausage was just plain placating -- stop that.

Her wanting to keep in contact with me? I don't see it. I can't think of any reason she would want to see me, much less be in contact.

LOL! I find it HILARIOUS that sausage keeps coming up.

I did it for the girls more than anything. They LOVE it, too. I really didn't care if SHE wanted it, I just knew she would be making it for the girls, too.

But I do have to be careful about requests like that. When she asked for it, she said that SHE wanted it. Next time she could start using the girls as an excuse.

This I know already. I just hate the thought of the girls doing without something. Anything.

H4H - hard as it might be to do, what about if you said (sticking to sausage) that they (your D's) can have it next time they are with you?

I think the girls can wait for the sausage until they get to your house.......I like what lis said. You want YOUR house to be the place they all (including your W) want to be, not make it all warm and cozy at the apartment. W could have thought..."Hmmm....If I'd still be with H, he'd be making me sausages this morning."

Umm, that sounds good. I'm getting hungry with all this sausage talk though!!! Karen
