Maybe the Disney thing is part of her feeling that she can't spend money? That she has given up things for the good of the family, even if she wanted to do things. So, maybe she likes the idea more than the park? Or even, she likes the park but never felt comfortable spending the money to go?

At any rate, good for you opening a dialogue! I think there's stuff to work with from her responses!

oh Michelle you may have hit upon something there! It could possibly be that because she feels in a financial bind that she can't splurge a bit...credit is a good thing and especially for trips that help with the PMA!

Jeff, Do you think she might be depressed?

well, she asked a bit ago what I meant by "work on the the marriage". There ware kids all over the place, so I said we should talk about it later. She said she didn't see how to work on that without working on the "other stuff". Which I think probably makes sense. So, there will be more discussion, soon, I expect. And I should probably make sure I have a good answer for that question!

As far as her being depressed, I don't know. My gut says no, but I've been wrong before!

Financial security is REALLY important to her. She resists buying a pair of shoes right now, because there are balances on the credit cards. To hear her talk, we are on the verge of bankruptcy, which is not even close to the truth. But, it's her perception. By spring I'll have things in good shape.

I don't know about the Disney tears. I think part of it is that she really wants to support her friend. And I think it may be hitting her that the kids are getting older, fast! I don't think she was crying about the possibility of losing the marriage. But, emotion other than anger was nice to see, really.

I'm really going to have to figure out what I can do in the organization area. It really isn't my nature. So it will not be easy. I don't know where that will lead.

Tomorrow I won't be on much, taking loads of stuff to the dump! But I'll see you soon!

Oh Jeff...I hope you guys finally get a chance to have a good, sit down, adult convo soon. She seems to have so much to say.

I have confidence in you. You don't have to be perfect...just improve.

It isn't my nature either...but this isn't an issue for my guy...he isn't either.

Some DBer posted the flylady's site. It is fun and cool. It will help.

I can't 'advertise' by posting the link....but I can tell you she is definitely solution oriented, and she makes it fun.

If you try the babysteps, your W and kids may also think it's fun.

Not much to add today. I went and picked up the trailer this morning, tried to get tit last night, but the computer system baffled the guys at the store. Unfortunately, that meant that we got a little later start to day than we wanted. S18 and I loaded the trailer three times, and took it to the dump twice. We were going to be too late to get there the third time, so we'll do it early in the morning, and then return the trailer. It got up to 103 today, with high humidity (for here), so it was pretty (no very) hot work! While we were making dump runs, S13 and W were adding to the piles, while S10 worked inside. He has a cold, and or allergies going on, so W though being out doing trimming and weeding might not be best for him. There were no further convos today, didn't expect any, and everyone was working really hard.

W works tomorrow, and I expect I will have to get some golf in, if I can move!

sg, I've seen the flylady site, I may visit again. It certaily had some useful info, and methods.

Well, tomorrow is another day, we'll see what it brings!
