Mattie,

I see your H continues to be a jerk like always. I'm so sorry. I hope you are enjoying your new job.

Hope you don't mind if I leave Penny a message on here.

Penny,

I totally understand what you mean about the OW trying to butter your kids up. That hurts so bad. The OW is still my H's secretary, ugh!!! My DD20 works part time at the office meaning that she is around the homewrecker everyday. It bothers me so much!!!

Hugs to you both, Yoyo

I feel your pain on the "other" parent making excuses....seemed to be a fav with my XW when it came to ANYTHING with the kids...except to use them for something...like going to visit her mom...and they DIDN'T even want to go!

I feel so silly, but I was making deviled eggs for a luncheon at work and started crying. They used to be a favorite of my exH's and he was always my taster. I had not made them since we separated. The silly part was I sent him an email simply saying:
"I miss you tonight. I needed you to taste my deviled eggs"

I often write things to him, but I never actually send them. Why I sent this email I don't know.

He actually replied, "I would love to taste your deviled eggs. I miss your cooking"

It is the first hint that there was anything about our 30 year marriage that he misses. In a strange way that makes me feel
more at peace. Am I crazy???

I know exactly what you mean about having triggers that will make you sad and think about the "good times".

You are not crazy, just a wonderful person who loved her husband and her family. That's not something you can just turn off after 30 years of marriage.

Hugs, Yoyo

Now I believe my ex is crazy, too!!! He called to ask about D18 (which was nice), but he ended the conversation, "bye sweetheart. Call if you need anything". Just an old habit? Slip of the tongue? At least I am crazy for a legitimate reason!
