I actually feel pretty good. I feel a little pit of my stomach doing some flips. That's like my early warning system prior to major system failure. (Sorry, I'm a trekkie from way back in my childhood)

So, that's why I'm going fishing tonight. I really would like to take the dog with me, but it would probably be way harder with her. The poor thing spends far too much time at home alone lately. When I get home I will again brush her out. She really loves the attention and I like to convince myself that it cuts down on the shedding. LOL.

I'm going to knit at least 4 rows tonight and then spend some time on my statistics homework. I have work to do to understand the material before I can do my take-home test I have.

Okay, I couldn't just let it go. I had to go back to the car and look at the condoms I found this morning. Do you know what? I ended up leaving this note for my husband and packing a bag for the night.

"Dear Bill,

Did you know that every condom has a lot number? Did you know that the condoms in your car are lot # XXXXX that match the lot number that is in your nightstand that I just bought about a week ago?

Did you also know that the little cubbie that you said you put them in before our vacation I've been in since we've been back from vacation? (I was throwing pocket change in there.)

I am trying really hard to believe what you told me this morning."

I am at a little motel a couple towns away.

I called my counselor and told her what happened before I left. She agreed with my leaving the note and going for the night.

I still don't know concretely that he's had an A, but it sure looks like he was prepared in case the opportunity presented itself. I'm just numb. I haven't even cried. I suppose I will eventually.

He had told me that he remembered putting them in the car just before we went on vacation in February. Any chance that the condoms from February would be the same exact lot number that I just bought? I don't think there is.

I think he lied to me.

Can you remove the note.

Your counselor gave you advice that may not be very helpful to your marriage and your communication with your H.


You can call the hotline for the condom company and check how many are made where they are distributed etc.

When my company makes a lot of a product......it's out there for about 2 years depending on the product. Condoms are out there longer than that. That means a batch can last along time.

It could be highly likely that batch/lot is sold all over your region for a year or more.

If you're in a high volume place, that could mean they go through them quickly. But they also probably product a really high volume.

Don't react. Act. That means you get complete information before you accuse and leave reactive notes.



When you need information, go to the proper source.....that would be the condom company, not your counselor.



That said....let me know what you did, so we can get a backup plan for his response.


If he calls you, don't answer. You don't need reactivity upon reactivity.
