Happy to hear that you found a good deal on your repairs. I'm glad that you're putting the money into your cottage instead of going out on a limb with the market the way it is. Besides, how much fun is that to be able to do all of the things that you've dreamed of doing for so long?
"Put me in coach - I'm ready to play today". I LOVE IT!!! I taught an acro jazz routine to "Centerfield" this year. It was one of my best dances. We used 4 white pillows (there were some somersaults done on them) and they were the bases. We danced with bats and actually staged a game. The costumes were cool too. Red sequined knicker type jumpsuits, red sequin baseball caps and red sequin sneakers! The shoes were the best.

That is my philosophy. It was long before my M ended. It had a lot to do with my son getting brain damage. We can't help that which happens to us, but we only have one live - let's make the most of it no matter what. Feeling sorry for ourselves just doesn't cut it.

I'm actually thinking of taking this year off from teaching. I am still undecided. The reason is that I have to devote myself to my students each year. This year Josh and I will be away for a month (New Zealand and Australia) then I will be working in Florida for a couple of weeks. That is a lot of time away rom my students. I will still direct the studio and most likely choreograph and teach the production numbers. Too hard to leave completely.

Well, today was just a GOOD GOOD GOOD day! I wasn't so sure when I was wakened by the phone this morning (the driveway guy), then he arrived before the coffee had perked etc. But it got better.
They say things happen in 3s. Well, here are my 3...
1. Saving between $8,000 and $10,000 on the driveway
2. Getting the award and a feature article in the newspaper on the studio only 3 weeks after the tv feature on it
3. Went to order the kitchen wallpaper and it turned out they'd miscalculated. It was going to be $200 cheaper! I almost didn't get it because of the price.
I never painted a room before last week. Now I have a lovely, nautical blue bedroom. I only wallpapered once before. That was here in the bathroom (it has fishing lures on it). Now I will have a big task in front of me but I'm very excited about it.
So, I have ordered laminate for the bathroom and kitchen and carpet for all 3 bedrooms and the hallway. It will look so new.
So, I might not have bought the new cottage, but I'm breathing new life into the old one. Josh and I just chatted about this. He said "I'm so happy you saw the other cottage - it inspired you to do the most you can with the great place you have".
Who knows, maybe I'll end up buying that place if the price comes down at some point. One never knows. But I've improved the worth of mine and every day it gets better. I cleaned out a huge closet under the stairs and it is almost like having another room. Tommorrow the Salvation Army is coming to take some old furniture. It feels like losing weight.
Anyway, I'm having a good day and things are rockin' at the Lemonade Stand. I'm buying the rounds tonight.
