Glad you started a new thread. I know everyone will find you wherever you are.
The newcomers, separated and surviving all have lots of wonderful people and they seem to post a lot too.. which helps, I find.
Are you certain that you're going to have to be the one to vacate your home? Is there any way that you could afford to stay and have him find somewhere else?

I don't want to stay there... I'm tired of the noise of the area. It's "cluster housing" or high density, whatever you want to call it... postage stamp sized lots and a train track not far away. We made a terrible choice in location but we bought at the height of the market and the good side of town sold out before our number on the waiting list came up. It was crazy times back then. Also, I'm not happy about living in a neighborhood where someone threatens to shoot my dog. I'm outta there! But I'll miss my kitty and OM. =(
Surprisingly, my husband has been more communicative and nicer since I told him I wanted to get the ball rolling on the divorce. He doesn't look at me with those dead eyes anymore and he playfully/affectionately squeezed my foot last night. Maybe he's relieved and he just didn't want to be the one to make the decision?

I have a little kumquat tree in a pot. It's going with me since I'm the one who nurtures, waters and feeds it. Kumquats are yummy but Magic Kumquats are delectable.

Ours is a little one in a pot, too! We also have a limequat in a pot. The kids don't like those, but they are a bit bigger, and I can make a pie out of them!
