You think I knew that I had you all wrapped around my little finger? Really never did.

Today has been odd. Took the kids out for breakfast and then was going to go to the store. H calls and is at the house. He never tells me when he is coming and I didn't want to wait around. The kids asked if we couldn't do something all together? H said fine. We end up going to the zoo. Nice and hot but fun too. We had picked a particular animal and then asked the kids to ask us questions to figure out what the animal was. They only asked a few and then got preoccupied with being hot. Still nice though. S15 discovered it was a bear imagine his excitement.

Went to the store and then made an early dinner for everybody. H is still here and we are watching King Kong. Just taking it at face value.

I hope the family time was enjoyable, at least to see that it made your kids happy to be able to do so. When we used to do things in public during the turmoil, it was just a reminder to me about everything that was going wrong. Seemed like a farce. So I tended to ruin any positives that could have come out of it. I am sure your kat-ness didn't allow you to do that. And King Kong? The 2nd best R movie in the last 10 years. (Hellboy is 1st)

Why does that not surprise me?

H just let a bit ago. I don't get him not staying all the time with the kids that he put into this agreement. Maybe he just feels too uncomfortable(I read it as guilt) to be around me, but that would just be the excuse for today. Don't go there kat.

While we were at the zoo he did seem to go off ahead of us a bit like he really didn't want to be with us. Maybe it was just me imagining it? That's ok though still had fun with the kids. It just hurts though that he continues to disconnect.

S15 asked him for something and he said I only have $25.00 for the whole week. He also told the girls that he was lonely. Maybe a little reality is setting in. I know he hated the stress of the bills...they didn't go away. Don't know what to make of it.

One more thing...why did he initiate getting me a birthday present? Remember the kids didn't want to get him anything and I just got him a movie and a pair of socks. Whatever they(He) got me had to be ordered.

I don't know, maybe guilt or something? Although maybe he's going to pull something like G's wife and wants you available for that? I'm in a bad mood tonight, so I'm just having a lot of grumpy thoughts sorry! Karen

I don't think you or anyone here can know what is going on in that DAM brain of his. Take it for what it is and nothing more - an attempt to be civil and considerate. Why he can't do the same where it really matters, who knows? Maybe he think doing this little thing makes up for the elephant in the room.

Oh, and what is my wife trying to pull?

Karen, I am sorry you are having a bad day. Mine was good. After H left we finished watching King Kong and then the girls went outside in their swimsuits and I sprayed them with the hose. They had a blast. Small bits of joy.
