OH MY~! LMAO~ you are f***ing hilarious....
although not very PC ~DQ!! And you know I am always PC~
I love your honesty!
Are flips flops out of the question? MY flip flops of course are gold. They look like ones cleopatra would wear.. DO you approve or does that wreak of I dont give a damn?

I am after all a high maintenance looking girl. Think J' LO. Only difference is I am not filthy rich. I am down to Earth not stuck up and I wash my own clothes and I am actually a granola eating hippie chick underneath it all. Ok , only thing I have in common with J'LO is the booty and the curves and the very long hair and I am not hard on the eyes either...
\:\( * ( me feeling sorry for myself and walking off)
I try whenever I can to get all dolled up... and of course wear sexy shoes.
I love high heels...

but lately I am having a a bit of a circulation problem and my feet feel funny after while and they get swollen.

YUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!

But I still wear sexy shoes whenever I can....

what about clear stilettos in public ? ... too over the top?
Just kidding!

LOL Ali! No, the birkenstocks comment was specifically for Cinco because he made a comment about those particular types of shoes on his other thread.

As for you...stop making me picture J. Lo, I am trying to work!

Ali - No flip flops look much better than "Birkies" (although flip flops are bad for your feet, but that is another story). We're talking clunky clod-hopping German sandles. Some have a certain "cute" factor to them but in sexy shoes, if a high heeled pump is a 10, a Birkie would be about a 2, flip flops might rate a 3 (4 or 5 if Cleopatraesque). Crocks would rate a 1...pitooey

She does go out to dinner and stuff in them (birks) too. \:\( I haven't seen a high heel since I don't know when. She doesn't even have any anymore.

I told you she needs to get her sexy back.

DQ - I hate littering your thread with "shoe talk". One last question ladies, how do you tactfully ask you wife to get some sexy shoes again? Just go out and buy a pair? I would love to see her in some 5" or 6" heels, even if it is only in the privacy of our bedroom.

To top it all off, did I mention I kinda have a thing for feet?

This may seem strange but many MANY women just don't "get" how their appearance appears to men. It may seem like they just don't care, but that would imply that they understand they look like they aren't making an effort. But instead, I think they really don't "get it". They don't know how non-sexy birks look (and sweat pants, flannels, etc). They just think they are dressing comfortably and they don't realize they are taking their own sexy away with these things.

(here's where I would get bashed by the gay community, but since I doubt any of them are reading here...)

In my experience, lesbians have the biggest and strangest problem with this. I have met many lesbians who love very feminine women, and yet they wear men's shirts, birks, baseball caps, etc. So if you ask them "well, don't you want to be attractive in a feminine way, the same way that you are attracted to feminine women?" they will simply get insulted and up in arms about how the feminine ideal is based on what straight men think it is and how insulting it is to be expected to dress for straight men's approval. And yet...the same woman is attracted to the same feminine women that straight men are attracted to. There is a lot of variation in this because lesbians can be attracted to an entirely different type of feminitity, but in general, they will still be attracted to full on girly girls.

When the Britney/Madonna kiss happened, every lesbian friend I have sent me the link to the video clip of it along with a "oohhh baby, so hot!" And most of these women wear birks!

Weird.

DQ - Well I can comment here because one of my sisters is lesbian. For her it was a rebellious thing, the "establishment" expects a woman to look and dress a certain way so to rebel against that you do the opposite. BTW her current partner is girly although she's had the Birk/flannel variety in the past as well. Actually her girly friend has had some influence in "improving" her appearance... 5

I agree with ~DQ...
When my H mentioned my manner of dressing when I wasnt ready.. I felt like I was drowning under the pressure as it was and then he made me feel worse....
when she feels better she will show it thru dressing up again too.

And you know whats worse when you are girly girl like I am .. you get the ugly glares from other WOMEN... or eye rolling.
And No I am not looking like Paris Hilton carrying my Chihuaha around!
why am I hurting you by being feminine?

It used to make me very uncomfortable and NOW?
I just laugh and shake my a** more as I walk on by....

Mean HUH?

I am almost 40 if I cant enjoy it now ,then when ?
