The one we used to drift a lot when I was growing up was the Deschutes river in central Oregon. It is very popular now with white water drifters and fly fisherman, but when we used to drift and fish it in the 60's and early 70's we never saw another soul. And the fishing was unbelievable. That river is so full of may flys, caddis, stone fly nymphs, and crawdads that it is no wonder that is produces some of the most beautiful red side rainbow trout in the world. And it also is a superb Steelhead stream.
Right now I just think of pushing one particular person off a high place (no, I didn't just say that on a public forum, did I?)

Yep you did! That is okay,I have had friends offer to push H off the smoking deck of the ship while it is in the Med or havea jet knock hm off the flight deck. As long as we all know it is all in fun, no harm no foul!

Sounds great. It looks like you may be off the boards for a while. I'm jealous of your being able to take your kids away for an extended period of time. Right now, I'm lucky to get three days in a row w/ my D.
W has not let me know what her vacation plans are because I dont think she knows. I doubt she will go back to Thailand as her family is not ready to accept OM yet. If OM is paying, I suspect they will take the kids to Maui.
The only other thing I have planned is in Aug and it is a cub scout sleep over on the baseball field after watching the Portland Beavers baseball game. Whenever I have the kids on the weekend this summer, I hope to go somewhere fun for fri and sat nights.
W just called and we talked about the schedule for next week where she takes the kids on my days because I am taking them on vacation early on her weekend. I asked her what her plans were this summer for vacation and she said that she probably wont go anywhere because she does not have any money.
She really likes mentioning that it seems. I find it so strange that she dwells on it so much but she just quit her job or was wanting to quit her job wasn't she?
