I guess OW isn't fired afterall, which is a blessing on one hand but it would have been good in another sense.

Why is it that these people always seem to have luck on their sides? Its probably because shes pregnant...cow. I'm willing to bet its not her last time late either, so they blew it when they had the chance.

I also noticed that MIL was VERY distant on Sat. during DD's birthday and I was wondering if anyone had any insight as to why?

I'm so sorry you've been struggling so much this weekend. It's been a tough one for me too and I almost called you last night around 9, but didn't know how early you go to bed (I'm usually in bed pretty early). I'll always be here for you. I've got to get down there ASAP and give you a real hug. For now, I hope this will do (((((((((((((COREY)))))))))))).

Hope today is happier.

(((HTTE))) Thanks for posting and if at the very least I can serve as a warning to others, then that'll work too.

I will have to go in and read your thread when I get a chance. Have a great day.

Just wanted to give you some support. Get the money together (if you can) and file yourself. You don't need him to start it up. Why should HE live how he wants? Protect yourself and your family. Its up to you. Don't be scared to do it, you can do it. I make all the appts for our atty, do all the paperwork, do everything. Do I want a D? Heck, no. I am the petitioner even!!But I am not living like this anymore. Might be anti-DB to not stall, but I am working on me now.

HUGS!

((lwb)) thanks, but I'm kinda adamant about it coming out of that money simply because he has been able to piss almost all of it away, why shouldn't he have to use at least a small portion of it to protect us? He says he is going to transfer it tomorrow, if he doesn't, I will just borrow it from my friend and H can pay her back. I wouldn't want to owe her money, she is not someone to mess with, fughedaboudit...I've seen loan sharks with more compassion. If she had her way, he'd be a bump in the desert now...lol. I'm just glad shes on my side. I am also the petitioner and the one that is pushing this along. If I leave it up to his retarded a$$ we'll be in the driveway with nowhere to go and he will be spouting some crap like, "well, do you think we should have filed?"

F*CKTARD!!!!!

Another thing is this is embarrassing but my brother lent me the money to hire an attorney but my attorney is going to set a hearing to have H pay for attorney fees really reimbursing my brother though, as he should have enough. If your H should have enough (I don't think they'll consider his gambling #) then maybe your L could do that for you? If you are completely ready to file, which it sounds like you are... Karen

I am sorry he is dragging his feet, but just get it done. Do what you have to do to protect yourself. Then let him sink or swim. Just don't sink with him!

Hang in there.

It will be better soon.

I agree. 100%.

(((((((Corey)))))))

I'm going to try to tip-toe around this, but I might not be so graceful about it.

You sound an awful lot like me in the beginning. I made up a ton of excuses about why I couldn't or shouldn't...when it was actually wouldn't....file any papers just yet. "I gotta wait for this or that....H said he's going to do that and this first....It's going to happen when this or that happens.....Next week, I'm filing.....No, I mean the next week after that....."

Whatever I came up with, it wasn't good enough. You know why? Because regardless of what I felt, there just wasn't any solid, legitimate reason for me to neglect protecting myself and my children. Being afraid to go through with it was no excuse.

I know you don't want this to be over, and I think maybe you feel that it might be if and when you actually file, and that scares you. I know it scared me! And look at me now....3+ years into it. Either I really am the Queen of Patience or I am clearly insane!

My point is....it's not over, and it won't be for a long time, or at least until you decide it is for your own sanity.

Do the LS and let go. Now. And remember that it's not a D. Give yourself that peace of mind.
