Jeff, you know what, some people in this world really just cant be happy, no matter what. Its not in them. Your w sounds like one of them. You have to decide if you want to live the rest of your life with someone like that.
I am realizing that life is short, do I want to live the rest on my life with someone who doesnt accept me for who I am, who always has to be in control, who cannot say he's sorry? I have faults too, but the difference is, I cannot admit that.
You cannot change your w, you cannot make her happy or make her even want to be happy, only she can do that.
So, keep GAL, keep taking care of you, keep moving forward with your notes and all, but remember she has to work on her. And she seems to want to wallow in self pity.
I have to count, I might have to take off my shoes...

Back a couple or three months ago, the two "little" guys weren't doing their work to W's satisfaction. She said, "I have a job now, I can leave."

I think I've about decided that I don't want to live that way. I guess it could be possible, but not only can she not be happy, she has to pull me down, too. And that won't work anymore.

I've been thinking for a while you should clean your room, but didn't want to say and sound like my mother Don't look at it as somewhere she doesn't want to be, look at it that it is somewhere that she would feel she could comeback to.
And it should be fast, before he takes me out of his bank accounts (btw, he said he doesn't want to, in case something happens to him-gave me some ideas but I will wait, for now)... LOL K
