Tell you what.. 48 hours is the DB time to make a decision.
The question you have to ask yourself is.. Is what you are doing going to move you forward.. or move you back.
If it will move you forward.. do it.
If it will move you back.. don't.
The action in question is do we fix the pool.. or bulldoze it.
The argument centered on the pool.. everything after that was lashing out.
I will leave it up to you.. on what to do.
You gotta.. gotta.. be able to do this own your own.
Look at everything that has changed.. over some simple text messaging.. and a 40 min conversation.
The big key is we went from no Drama.. to some Drama.. with the quickness. You were thinking he would not respond. Don't you wish he had not. I was expecting some drama.. not this fast.. but some. Still there is a lot to learn here.

You have to decide where you can help.. whether it is split the cost.. take all the cost on you.. whatever. Then you have to let him know what you can do.

48 hr rule, is DB...the christa rule is min. of 72 and a max of 2 weeks depending on the severity of the sitch!!!
i want him to know that if he needs something he can still count on me, i don't want him to resent me anymore than he already does because i left him with high maintenance "toys",...however, that being said, i looked up black mold which is what is wrong with the pool..H says it will need new liner and pump...net says, lower Ph, algacide, lots of scrubbing...my suspicions are H, spends too much time playing (riding HD, partying etc) and pool is on the back burner...I am torn in my decision right now, but know bulldozing the pool is not an option...however, pools are replaceable...i would think a fair suggestion would be, jointly share the cost of having a pool company come out and assess what can be done, then have said company properly close the pool, and leave him with chemicals to periodically throw under the cover...this is just one of my thoughts....random thoughts that may change in the morning as i stew over it in my sleep!
do i wish he had not responded...toss up...i wish i had cut the conversation while i was ahead...chalk that one up to lesson learned
one thing...h..very dramatic...very revengful...you did X, so i will do y and z, just to hurt you more...
he came from a house/home full of drama, full...his mom loves to stir the pot...he grew up with it...sad, sad, sad
