OK, I put a smiley face with some fireworks on the mirror last night.

She doesn't work today, so she is here.

She hasn't said a word about it.

S10 knew I needed the dry erase marker for a surprise, so the first thing he did this morning was look on the whiteboard. HE said I didn't do anything, I told him to look in mom's bathroom. Then he came in and gave me a hug!

She works tomorrow, so tonight I'll go with "Have a Nice Day!"

Like it! Well done for trying it. Sweet that your son hugged you too... maybe you could do a smiley face somewhere in his bedroom! He'd be made up hey. I like the have a good day idea. Better than saying "Knock 'em dead", what with her being a nurse and all, definetly not appropriate!

Did she even look at you?? Or look different? Surprised? Bad tempered!? Anything !??

"Knock 'em dead!" I like it!

I think I will write on the kids' mirror!

No reaction at all that I could sense.

Ah (((Jeff))), thank you for the offer of recipes! Any kind of cookie that doesn't involve fruit, H is allergic. Something that smells really good when you walk in the door and that I can't go too wrong with \:D

With regards to cups I have liquid 'cups' on my measuring jug but nothing on weights. I can convert though so don't worry! Thank you so much! I can try out all the recipes and have a week of baking. My work mates would love that!

With regards to the notes, you are doing it to make your wife feel special so if you write for the kids as well it'll take that away (although it would be really nice to write them a note!) Maybe later on in the trial? Also I was thinking, that maybe you shouldn't write one tomorrow but leave that one to 'soak in' as it were. Let her absorb it and then surprise her with another. Just an idea...

Great job Jeff. I'm sure she'll say something when you keep leaving messages. Her curiosity will be so peaked that she'll HAVE to say somehting.

((Jeff)) I certainly didn't mean "big" in a bad way!

I'm proud of you for doing the mirror message and not asking her about it. Keep it up, she will have to respond.

How about, "break a leg?" lol...that probably wouldn't go over too well.

Happy 4th.

Just my opinion, but I would suggest not doing the mirror thing two days in a row unless you are prepared to do it every day for hereon after. If it has affected her (hopefully positively) and you DON'T write every day, it'll be kind of a surprise 'has he written something to me today?'. Give her a chance to miss it.

If you do it every day it might come across as pursuing. IYKWIM?
