I think she'd like a picnic, too, if we can figure out the right spot. She likes to be outside, and really likes to be with the kids. We shall see what happens.

Thanks sawks!

I think you came up with some great ideas Jeff! I really don't know what else to add but to say good luck and make sure that when you ask her you are making it as much about her wants as anyone else's.

A picnic sounds fun, but maybe a picnic breakfast or picnic midnight snack? It's tooo hot!

So many people have anniversaries coming up (mine is August 13th). What do you and your wife do on your anniversary?

I went back and read some of your early posts to try to understand your wife more. Truly, you are an incredible guy, Jeff. I'm sure you have your faults, but you are so dedicated to your family, you're a wonderful, loving, giving father, have such a great sense of humor and beautiful spirit and you are WILLING TO TRY TO MAKE YOUR MARRIAGE BETTER (and you cook and bake for goodness sake!). If your wife only knew how many of us women would gladly step in her shoes - if she could wake up and realize how good things could be with you by her side... Sigh.

Picnic breakfast....an interesting thought!

Anniversary....
The first couple of pages of this thread: http://www.divorcebusting.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=1358182&page=0&fpart=1 covers this year's anniversary, and Valentines Day. In general, it would be safe to say the anniversary would have been ignored, if I had not mentioned it. Her response was colder than lukewarm.

You are right, I have plenty of faults, but I truly and honestly believe that she has blown them all out of proportion. I think there are issues that I don't even begin to understand going on in her head. I relaly think that unless she gets some C, there isn't going to be a real change.

What did you USED to do for anniversaries? When things were new/good/better whatever adjective you would like to use to describe it?

Hmmmm, really, never a lot. At least since kids. Any time I would try to suggest something, she would resist it, to my recollection. Too expensive, takes too much time, etc., etc. Kind of interesting when I think about it.

Hmmm is right. What about before the kids?
