I think Jeff must have gone golfing again! I hope that's the case and not a mandatory evacuation because of the fires.

Mishka wins! I went a different course today. It's closer, and I wanted to be quick, because I'm cooking Sunday dinner tonight, since we're going to the concert tomorrow night.

I did better today. I am hitting more good shots every time. And lots of bad ones, too! This course is probably easier, except that the "grass" on the fairways really isn't! Which adds a degree of difficulty! The greens were pretty nice, though lots slower than the other course, so I putted awful! I did have four pars today. OK, most of you don't give a hoot about that! But I enjoyed being out again. Might even try again tomorrow! I'm feeling a bit like I'm running away, but then again, it's been a long time since I took care of myself, so maybe it's ok!

"Our" fire is out, or very close to it. I think they are completing the firebreaks they were putting in to protect the power lines, since I imagine the fire could come back up, but I think they are about done. There's a new plume of smoke on the mountain now, but there is nothing at all up there that I know of, so I expect they'll let it burn.

Oh, saw some tiny, tiny, baby quail when I went out to walk the dog this morning! They are so incredibly cute! They are just little golf ball sized balls of fluff!

Jeff you are not running away. You are taking care of yourself and GALing. Keep it up.

Sounds like you had a good time today Jeff! That's great! Congrats on the multiple par holes. I know that can be really tough. I can't even make par on mini-golf!
