I agree with Michelle, you cut her dead, you said to her, "but you're working"? So maybe she felt rejected?

Also, I was wondering why she checked her schedule and then changed her mind...were you thinking what I was thinking?(What OP may be working the same shift?)

On a lighter note...

303. This thread wants to stay opened!!!!

I agree, I think everyone likes a sense of humor. Maybe right now she doesn't like herself, and because of that feels she is not worthy to laugh at what you say.

Hmmm, maybe we did cut her off, though I didn't think it felt that way. It was before I bought the tickets, and I though I was clear that she was welcome. You know what? I think it isn't that she wanted to go, it's that she wanted to be asked! She would have said no, I think, but that isn't the point. But, what if I look at it this was, in this case... maybe she will think about why we didn't ask her? And realize that it might have something to do with her? Maybe she did feel rejected, I dunno.

The thought crossed my mind.

Hmmmm, so maybe feeling left out actually worried her?

I wonder if she really is reacting to the changes you have made.....your GAL is having an effect me thinks!

Ditto that. Come on Jeff, you're saying she never laughs and has a good chuckle? Her life is quite overwhelming now with all of HER changes in the last year or so, I guess it is possible she's just a sourpuss and her lips can't get past center and turn up at the ends. Is that how she always is or just when you're around?

Well, that's a little hard to say! Since I don't see her when I'm not around!

I'll think about this a bit!

AR AR AR!!! See, there's your humor again! I expected that from you and it's okay. If you did that to your W she would roll her eyes and be exasperated because you used humor to avoid an answer. Then she would be annoyed and have to ask her question again.
How can you use your good traits to your benefit?

You set me up!

You know, from what I can gather from the evidence I do see, and hear, she doesn't laugh a lot. I know the older kids don' think so, from stuff they've said. She will sometimes laugh at TV, or a movie, but not really a lot. She's a pretty serious person.

One thing that is really true about her is that she doesn't compartmentalize at all. So, if she is unhapyy with one part of her life, she seems to be unhappy with it all. At least it feels that way. So, if the sink isn't clean, nothing is funny.

I don't know how I can use my good traits to my benefit. The traits that she doesn't seem to think of as good seem to cancel them out!

Jeff,
they are giving a hard time, arent they? (our friends here)...

I am glad. Get your mind straight and that last comment about making her mad by avoiding the question is very valid, I think.

I have both my kids in the bathtub, need to go watch them. My brother's wife's birthday today. I'll check on you later (wearing Eve's costume, with aloe all over)...
