Hi T! I agree with Jeff and Lisa, a short friendly email, leave it at that. Also, I reckon he just loves those heartfelt tunes and the lyrics were sooo personal, plus, he would've had it all worked out before he heard from you.
If there was ANYTHING going on with asian girl, it would have been obvious I think, so she is clearly just a mate. Was she not sat with anyone else at all? Was she by herself?
Sounds like you did amazingly well though and it was a really intense, significant evening for you, in your life...at least you were there, and you experienced his (first??) non classical gig and he wanted you to be there/was happy for you to be there and you got on well.
I cant wait to hear if you contact him/he contacts you!

I just got back from walking across the brooklyn bridge to manhattan with my friend I'm staying with. we bought peaches and ate them halfway across the bridge. I also saw a fabulous, ridiculous vegetable peeler demonstration at one of the open air brooklyn markets and bought two vegetable peelers that are supposed to be amazing. the famous NYC peeler man Then I tried to go bra shopping but with limited success, but I ate some honey roasted peanuts and came home to brooklyn...
It is funny to be here in B's city and not trying to see him, but I remind myself that pushing him to do anything will just slow things down in the end. I think he leaves for shelter island tomorrow, where he is working as a camp counselor at a music camp for the summer with what's left of his quartet. but he doesn't know that I'm still in town, or that I want to see him, so I should probably hint at that.
how about something like this, Dear B, I really enjoyed your performance! congratulations, it was so great to see you and hear you. you totally rocked the house!!!!
I'm having fun in brooklyn with missy (today we walked across the brooklyn bridge, it was SO beautiful), and I'm thinking about sticking around for the mermaid parade in coney island this weekend. I hope you have a great week! T
It is one of the *few* flight of the concords videos that isn't really heavy on the sexual humor, but it might be too much of a commentary on B's life as an impoverished musician in NYC... maybe I should just include a link to peeler man instead!
OD, yes, john mclaughlin!! when he was young he went to india and made his own crazy indian band called shakti. super awesome and crazy. I'm glad detailing the songs made you feel like you were there instead of just bored
ali, OK, Asian Girl = just a friend. She was by herself in the beginning, and then one and then another friend joined her at her table (both girls). I think it *was* his first non classical gig, so it was huge deal.
julia, I hope what I wrote on your thread was helpful!!! lemme know if you need more help! One other thing that crossed my mind is if in the future, H wants to meet with you, it is always TOTALLY OK to pretend to be busy, or just say you're busy and then make a plan with someone else or by yourself, if you feel like you need more time to prepare or gather your wits about you.
(((EVERYONE))) thank you all for being so amazing and supportive... LOVE, T

Leave the link out. Nice how you let him know your time plans... Very nice.
email has been sent!!! thank you guys soooo much!!!
K, I am very proud of how I mentioned my plans so suave-ly!!
(I was about to totally plaster it up with links, because I just figured out this crazy street comedian, reverend billy, of the church of stop shopping, is going to be "king neptune" at the mermaid parade. B was the one who first told me about reverend billy, I think he would be excited to see him in person, but I left all that stuff out, so the main message could come across.)
Upon further inspection, I realized that shelter island is a 3 hour trip from brooklyn via public transportation. um, 6 hours round trip... seems unlikely that I"ll see him before august or december, when we might both be in NYC at the same time.
today the thought crossed my mind that I could just call him and say, hey, what are you up to, do you want to get a tea or something, but I didn't do it, I forced myself to wait.
If he wants to see you, you'll find a way. Rent a car for a day? Meet halfway (if he has any time off.) Or bit the bullet, and spend the six hours travelling, but find somewhere to stay for a night, if you can? I'm just saying, that if he wants to see you, you can make it happen.
I just realized... he told me he was leaving wed, he may have already left, b/c the website says the program starts today. I don't even know if he has internet at this place, since it is like a summer camp. now I feel retarded, and wish I had texted him instead, but sending him a text AND an email that say the same thing would probably be too... FREAKY
Do I sound different? I feel different, esp coming back to visit the same friend in brooklyn. when I saw her in dec, I was like a nervous wreck just leaving her apt, worrying I'd run into B. Now I feel like I'm in such a different place... SO MUCH HEALING has occured! because I have been working my butt off, working on my heart!!!!!
I just posted to you on your thread... (((ALI))) LOVE, T
I imagine he has internet, so you are probabaly fine. You might, just might, be able to send a text maybe Thursday, hope things are going well at camp, I'll be leaving NY Sunday (or whatever). But I bet he gets the email. So leaving it will probably be ok.
